@AvonandsomerRob If you go in a busy co-op on a Sunday about 3pm they do reduced sandwiches. I always buy two or three and they keep well enough in the fridge three days sarnies for £1.50

@jubs1515 @leighkeystone in my co-op if you go at about 9pm you'll often see a member of staff buying two big bags full of reduced stuff they've hidden.

I've just been to the Co-op (5pm). A man came in and said to the sales assistant 'I've not eaten today and I'm hungry'. She replied 'Come with me and you can have some free food'. She walked him to the reduced section and said 'If there's anything you want, you can take it'.

Once again the Co-op has charged me full price for several reduced items. It’s happening too frequently - and now I’ve worked out how they do it. They put the discounted barcode alongside the original barcode, and the scanner picks up the higher of the two prices! @coopuk
