@DeseretMonk@LukeFHan You’re leaving out that they needed to have been with Jesus during His ministry in the case of Matthias and in Paul’s case he has signs and wonders associated with him but also meets with the Apostles and gets their approval
@DeseretMonk@LukeFHan In Acts they also set requirements for who can be chosen which would make the office not perpetual.
I think that’s an argument you’re forced to make in order to fit your beliefs into history
@DeseretMonk@LukeFHan Jesus was the final prophet. Nearly every single Apostle was hunted and martyred. They traveled to different corners of the known world preaching to people and you expect them to stop so they could meet up and appoint new apostles? Is there any record of them attempting this?
@DeseretMonk@LukeFHan 1. flawed people who repented
2. again assuming these were meant to be perpetual
3. the Apostles did that
4. the Pope is a Bishop
@DeseretMonk@LukeFHan We aren’t forced to defend everything a Church Father has said or done because they aren’t held to the same standard as a prophet would be.
Yes I reject your “prophets” because I’m not Mormon, isn’t this obvious?
@investindigital >St Augustine
>not very congested
>very affordable
The locals would actually kill you if you said that around them, fair warning😂
@KimballCall@H8lyHandGrenade Why are you saying things like “you can learn it all here” and “it’s not a big deal” if you won’t say what they are? Are you honest enough to see how that’s misleading?
