@mattkrisiloff@Conception Yo this is so cool! Would you be interested in giving a talk on it at https://t.co/pBmNQREdXV for our summer season of talks? (Can DM more details!)
@KanizsaBoundary@anselm_io Oh say more? What did you look into and what part seems not true? (I think tim rogers has called his writing a blend of fiction and autobiographical, but certainly he describes having very intense / unique memory capabilities elsewhere, like his boku no natsuyasumi video)
Who are the linguists that take LLMs seriously? As in they acknowledge that llms have great implications for the field of linguistics, and are actively curious and studying them.
Where can I find these people? Anyone have any pointers?
If you're in the SF bay area at all this summer (now through august), would you have any interest in giving a talk on the color piece (or perception generally) at Mox (https://t.co/QhVsBFg8iI)?
Could be cool to show some of the stuff that can't be shown through the screen.
Happy to discuss details in DM :)
I was once on a second date with a woman, and we'd just had a wonderful, riotous time at a book store, but as we left, crossing the street, she had a quiet look, so I asked, "what are you thinking?" and she stopped at the corner to look me square in the eye and say, sternly, "Some thoughts... are private."
@ulkar_aghayeva I wonder how you'd like Bobby McFerrin's Circlesongs (every Monday in Berkeley)! iirc, Michael Nielsen had a sweet little note on substack about his experience attending.
