[CA Coaches Association @CACoachesAssoc]

Our association has been pushing to open sports when counties get to the same metric that Governor Newsom says that kindergartners can be in the classroom - at 25/100,000. If we used this metric, Los Angeles County would be starting sports now as the county just hit that metric!

[Charles Preston, MD @DocPreston]

I don’t have the training to say much about opening schools but from my reading it would appear there is ample evidence to do so.
I do you have the training to say a lack of youth sports is a public health issue AND
It DID NOT need to be this way.

Consistency is key to credibility. And willingness to change when facts say so. We are at that point. Those who have said follow the science for months now must follow the new science. In sports you don’t change the goal post in middle of game.

News : NFHS eliminates the tiered Youth Sports recommendation this morning. “proven cases of direct COVID-19 transmission during athletics remain relatively rare” .This guidance is why California tied sports to the tiers. That recommendation has been eliminated .

Tesoro V Lax Awards - Team MVP - Lucas Zelaya, GK, 2022. Lucas was a Rock at goal. His highlight saves and tenacity inspired his team. He was the leader of the D and there is no doubt the Titan’s D will be its strength over the next 3 years! @OfficialTesoro
