These twin brothers would never forget this trauma. They even naked them. Kidnappers should never be given second chance to live.
The day the kidnapped happened, I knew those guys have ate more than what they can chew. There's no way they could escape with that high profile kidnap and go Scot free.
@TrendingEx@Nwa_Anambra_ Nigeria Police: We can't rescue the kidnapped school children because it could lead to collateral damage.
Nigeria Police: Oya, come and watch how we rescued Adelabu's sister and her children.
Me: This is Band A fooling!
This issue reminds me of a skit I recently saw.
In the story, a woman is driving to the house of her husband's side chick to confront her about sleeping with her husband. She meets her husband there of course, but just ignores him then she faces the side chick and then starts a cat fight with her.
They fought till they were bruised and bloody and both their clothes were torn. Meanwhile the real culprit was right there on the sidelines, grinning and watching.
Right now I'm sitting in a RCCG church service. We're listening to Pst Adeboye's audio stream, and it hit me (a suggestion by the devil perhaps) that this man is enabling our passivity. I'll explain.
Somehow his charisma has captivated so many people that despite the sinking state of our country, the hope of his followers are completely on divine intervention.
Basically he says, if you're offended, look to G*d to avenge you.
(I censored the word because I don't want to take His name in vain)
If kids and teachers in your country get kidnapped by terrorists and the government is making no known efforts to rescue them or root out the bastards, cry to G*d.
If it's been over two weeks of those victims being in the rainforest, direct your pain to G*d.
By the time you spend all your energy and willpower looking up to G*d, what strength would you have to hold your government accountable? What focus would you have to think logically and practically, in terms of cause and effect?
I also spotted a fallacy in a line he said:
"If you partner with G*d, you can never fail. If you do things without G*d, you will eventually fail"
That line holds absolutely no water for obvious reasons: Life is full of deeply religious people who fail and worldly people who succeed. You may choose to cope by telling yourself that "they have secret problems," as if you yourself don't have secret problems.
It's attitudes like this that make me wrestle with some aspects of my faith. Dodging real issues rather than tackling them head on.
No shade to Pst Adeboye (I'm not coming for an 84 year old baba). And I hope my pastor and parents never see this, but it is what it is.
