I’m less impressed every day with what people think or hope I can do technically than what I can do. Because! As a middle-aged software dev, my access to learning resources is exponentially more inspiring than when I was in my 20s. I can always walk it off. Can you? 😎 #canyou #genex #havingablst

@TulsiGabbard I heard about the wbc about you and I support you. You are awesome enough to come clean and have zero hooks into you @TulsiGabbard for President!!!
I'm expanding my skills in software development by designing and implementing nano projects. These nano projects enable me to acquire skills in various new and desirable tech stacks, while still allowing me to balance all the other demands on my time. I have been surprised by the gains I've made with this approach.
@theo, I have nothing but praise for your rhetorical style; it resonates deeply with me. It just reminds me of Gabriel Fuentes so much! I can grow with this style.
@theo I love your retorical style so much that I'm actually anxious to hear a (Gabriel Fuentes like anwer - granpa and man who raised me style answer) since I'm a gen x, and my parents were too busy being trust fund kids I was raised by an Mechanical Engineer (world war two greatest generation) "walk it off, men don't cry, you can do anything you want" (I'm not saying any of that is right.) But I SOOOOOOO! value your honest rhetorical style. So, what you have to say about my query is meaningful, as I can take it and improve upon it. I can feel good about it. Love you, man!!!!
@theo my gut says, go to react fundamentals since I know js, after my on and off sometimes six month booty call relationship with js during those 28 years of dev ( I was what I call a dev slut, I allowed my stake holders to put me on any lang & framework, mistake) but that's as far as I will go, I won't call myself a dev whore cause slut sounds a tiny little bit more classy. Still, my gut says learn React, code some actual enterprise-grade apps in React.js, and then some Next.js apps that are truly enterprise-grade, both React and Next for money, and then start really playing. Thoughts?
@theo Did I ask what I wanted? Can't remember, where should I start to be awesome at UI js/ts dev I think that's what I'm riding to my grave, so 55 hopefully 20 years. LOL.
@theo, I now watch your channel because I'm retiring within the next 5 years, and something has ignited a fire for love of UI and quality UI. My question is, I'm starting again after 28 years. Should I learn React so I'm familiar with the cultural context of things like ripple, which you are discussing today? What would you say to do? I want to start ASAP. Because it's calling me, but I need some good advice. Thx!! You are awesome!
@theo, at the time, and through today, I was the fixer guy. I was the one who could review the ancient C code on our product, which evolved from C to a Pascal-based (Delphi) language, to C#, a Spring Boot back end, and then from the first Angular to React. All I would do is get the spec, fix it, and make it do what it's supposed to do.
@theo, hey, I love love love your YouTube channel. I have been a full-stack developer since before that term existed, and they just called us developers. 28 years. I started in 1997. I started out as a tester, fell in love with code at the time, in a very different world (Pascal local datastores).
After a few years, I'm finally able to get back into my Twitter (https://t.co/g5Xp7h0JcD) account, and I'm glad to be back! The reason x locked me out is a super funny comedy of errors involving using third-party authentication to log in and accidentally entering a very similar email, which they deemed suspicious. The way I got it back makes for a ridiculous story about humans in this era. Anyway, I’m back. Excited to be back!
