@zacharyvalles climbed the mountains as well, competed in combat sportd as well. My point is weight training is an easy medium to do for vanity where individuals still get results without sufficient intensity.
@urbanistoomf @fawfulfan I can see plenty of reasons why people already there would not want more people in their neighborhood. Y'all have to remember human nature.
@Sheng5Wu I don't find the vpn problem to be too big of a deal, maybe I am just used to it at this point. Shenzhen just overall efficient place to build things.
@lxunwi4@THATBOYMMAGURU You misunderstood, I am saying he doesnt express himself as well and I wish other viewers heard what he was saying. Nothing to do with choosing to speak chinese at home.
@John_Kavanagh This is not the real solution though. Fighters just have no bargaining power against the too buyer for fight talent, this would be solved by organizing appropriately. If they could negotiate the way other top athletes do, they don't need to do trades. The money is already there.
MMA will always struggle to attract the top end management simply because the economics are not there. the total payout to UFC guy is around $255 million a year right now, and agents are taking what, like 10%, so the total revenue is only $25 million across the top league. Most top agents will look to other sports. I would love to see more data driven approach to fight management and careers though, I have worked on it a bit in the past
@isaiah_p_taylor All of the now wealthy tech founders need to read Carnegie's Gospel of Wealth. Wealth and status brings with it obligations to be a good steward of society. Carnegie understood this. The present wave seems to think they are purely meritocratic victors who deserve all the spoils.
@EchoesofWarYT I am done hearing the bullshit the Hoover was fluent in mandarin. In his memoirs, he literally says he never picked up more than 100 words. His wife, however, seriously studied and could converse. The Hoover library is also on record saying it was a myth.
All is reps. Thereโs no substitution for reps. 10,000 hours is just a metaphor for reps. Chess is reps. Painting is reps. Thinking, wisdom, even prayer is reps. Thereโs a reason the French say โapprendre par cลurโ (to learn by heart). Repetition itself is the stairway to heaven
The process of learning chinese has shown this to me very clearly. You have to accept the struggle, put in lots of cognitive effort, and then sit with the wall of your ability and keep up the repetitions. The next day, you find your ability significantly improved.
the fastest way to trigger neuroplasticity isn't playing brain games or reading research papers. it's forcing your brain to fail repeatedly at something you have zero natural talent for. high frustration is the literal chemical signal that forces synaptic rewiring.
