Last night, Israel destroyed one of the biggest underground Hezbollah terror tunnels in this war, about 200+ meters long and 25+ meters deep, all funded by the Islamic regime of Iran.
Every single tunnel will be obliterated one by one.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a press conference this evening and made the following remarks:
"Dear citizens of Israel, yesterday before the start of the Sabbath, we achieved a historic accomplishment for the State of Israel. Following direct negotiations between Israel and Lebanon, mediated by the US, we have reached a framework of understandings that allows us to move forward toward ending the conflict, and, G-d willing, eventually reaching a peace agreement between the two countries.
Under these understandings, the US and Lebanon have recognized Israel's right to maintain the security zone inside Lebanon for as long as it is required for our security. We will continue to hold it until Hezbollah and the rest of the terrorist organizations are disarmed, and until no further threat to Israel is posed from Lebanon.
I want you to know – this is a massive blow to Iran and Hezbollah. Iran tried to force a withdrawal from southern Lebanon upon us. You heard these demands all the time, and you also heard their disappointment and their criticism of the agreement – both theirs and Hezbollah's. I stood firm on our vital interests and forcefully opposed the notion of forcing a withdrawal upon us.
Lebanon, Israel, and the US are essentially saying to Iran: This is none of your business. You have no status here. You have no involvement and no role, not you, not Hezbollah, and not any terrorist organization.
Israel and Lebanon have agreed on two adjacent areas near the Yellow Line, recommended by the IDF, where there will be a pilot program for disarming Hezbollah and transferring the territory to the control of the Lebanese army.
This is a tremendous achievement, because what were they trying to do? They tried to get us out of there through all kinds of means and pressures. That, of course, will not happen.
I thank President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio for their involvement, their contribution, and for achieving these understandings. I thank the government of Lebanon and the people of Lebanon; they showed great courage. I thank Israeli Ambassador to the US Yechiel Leiter, and our team, they faithfully represented Israel in the talks.
We are breaking the Iranian axis of terror, but we are also breaking the Iranian diplomatic axis.
We managed to reach this framework of understandings for a simple reason: Because we struck Hezbollah hard. And Hezbollah, which expected assistance from Iran, did not receive it, because we struck Iran hard. All of this was done thanks to the heroism of our fighters, and also thanks to the wise and courageous decisions we made.
I want to remind you of what the situation was in Lebanon: Hezbollah had 150,000 missiles and rockets, and we eliminated about 90 percent of this vast arsenal. We astonished them with the pagers, we eliminated Nasrallah, and we eliminated the commanders of the Radwan Force.
In the last two weeks alone, we eliminated over 200 terrorists, and since the beginning of the war, over 9,000 Hezbollah terrorists!
We took control of the Beaufort and we are staying in the Beaufort; we took control of the Ali Taher ridge, and of Bint Jbeil – they are under our control. We are eliminating their terrorist infrastructure throughout the entire area, in the entire Yellow Zone; we are simply wiping out the terrorist infrastructure. There are bunkers there, there are tunnels there, there are terrorist villages there; we are wiping the, all out. We are not done yet, we still have work to do, especially regarding the global problem of explosive drones, and in this too, we will be the first in the world to find a solution.
But what is clear is one thing: There is a historic achievement here. This agreement strengthens Israel and Lebanon, and weakens Iran and Hezbollah. And G-d willing, this is a sign of things to come.
We will continue to do everything necessary to restore security to the residents of the North, just as we successfully did in the South. We did it once again thanks to the heroism of the fighters and commanders, and also thanks to your steadfast resilience, residents of the North. We are bringing you not only security assistance, but also over 20 billion shekels to restore prosperity to the North.
This is what I want to see: A quiet border between us and Lebanon, a border of peace. And in the North, I want to see security, peace, and prosperity.
What happened in the South, which is currently prospering in the western Negev, will also happen in the North. This is my goal, and with your help and G-d's help, we will achieve it."
Michel Bacos was an Air France pilot, flying Flight 139 from Athens to Paris on June 27, 1976, when the airplane was hijacked by Arab and German terrorists. At gunpoint, Michel was forced to divert the plane, ultimately landing at Entebbe in Uganda with only 20 more minutes of fuel left.
The terrorists freed the 148 non-Jewish passengers, and also released the airline crew. However, Michel refused to leave the 94 Jewish passengers still kept captive, and the other crew members followed their pilot’s lead and stayed with the hostages. Michel said, “I was a captain of Air France and before that I was in the Free French Forces under Charles DeGaulle during the Second World War – it would be impossible for me to leave my passengers, unimaginable. I told my crew that we must stay until the end because that was our tradition, so we cannot accept being freed. All my crew agreed without exception.”
Several days later, most of the Jewish hostages were rescued during a bold raid by Israeli commandos led by Yonatan "Yoni" Netanyahu. During the raid, known as Operation Yonatan (Operation Entebbe), Michel suffered a concussion.
Michel was immediately hailed as a hero for staying with his Jewish passengers, even at severe risk to his own life. He was awarded the National Order of the Legion of Honour, the highest decoration in France, by the French president. The Israeli government awarded Michel and his crew medals for heroism. He was honored with other awards and commendations by grateful Jewish groups.
Michel retired from Air France in 1982, and spent the remaining decades of his life in Nice, with his wife and many children and grandchildren. When he died, in 2019 at the age of 94, to his request he was laid to rest while the Israeli anthem "HaTikvah" was played.
He was saluted in France, Israel and around the world. In the midst of a murderous nightmare, the captain was a shaft of light.
The mayor of Nice said during Bacos' funeral: “Michel, bravely refusing to give in to anti-Semitism and barbarism, did honor to France. The love of France and the defense of liberties have marked his destiny.”
"DON'T LOSE HOPE, IT'S A WAR"
Amit Mann — an Israeli paramedic — was murdered by Hamas at Kibbutz Be'eri, and I will never stop telling her incredible story.
Before she was slain, she managed to text her sister Haviva over Whatsapp while treating the wounded at the medical clinic in the kibbutz.
"Hamas is here. They’re in the clinic. I don’t think I’ll make it out of here. I love you."
When asked by text if there was ongoing shooting, Amit said:
“Yes. It’s never ending. It looks like there are more terrorists. They’re in people’s houses. Army forces have been hit.”
Her sister Lior tried to raise her spirits: “Don’t lose hope. It’s a war and we’ll win – we’re stronger. Focus on taking care of yourself. It’ll be over soon. The army are already operating there.”
“I love you. Thank you” wrote Amit and didn’t write any more, according to the Times of Israel.
Amit Mann was a hero.
She died at age 22. Don’t forget her.
Hamas, Hezbollah and other Islamic jihadists seek to create a world without Jews. Just like the Nazis did too. The Nazi roots of the Palestinian cause are deep
If the Iranian regime strikes Israel again, I sure hope we won’t be told not to defend ourselves or to retaliate.
And if we’re told, I hope we will do what’s right for Israel.
When you’re attacked, you defend yourself. Plain and simple.
WOW. WOW. WOW. WOW. WOW.
Meet Alon.
He was critically injured while fighting Hamas terrorists in Gaza.
Almost didn’t survive.
He lost his left leg.
He lost his right arm.
But, thank God, he survived.
A very long recovery in the hospital.
Am even longer

Kim Damti was slaughtered by Hamas on Oct 7, 2023 at the Nova Music festival. She was only 22 & an Irish citizen. Today wld have been her 25th birthday. She is one of the deaths celebrated in Ireland by the Israel Hate Movement as acclaimed & legitimate “ resistance “. Two days of debates in the Dail this week solely demonising Israel, Kim was not mentioned once. Not remembered by a single TD
Superb letter in today's Irish Times from Dr Peter Boylan.
"Anti-Israel sentiment seems to me uniquely
obsessive in this country, amplified in media and public discourse to a greater extent than elsewhere outside Israel’s traditional enemies. Particularly disturbing is the inconsistency of outrage [...]
"Irish people can claim all we might that anti-Semitism and Israelophobia are not the significant problems I believe them to be in our country, but we should not be surprised if much of the rest of the world begs to differ."
Top British attorney Natasha Hausdorff dismantled the Palestinian narrative with cold historical facts.
There was never a sovereign Arab state called “Palestine.” The British Mandate of Palestine was simply British administration over the historic Land of Israel after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire.
Jews lived continuously in the land for centuries — including under Ottoman rule, when they formed the majority in Jerusalem. Before 1909, Tel Aviv was empty desert legally purchased by Jews, who built it from nothing. No Arabs were displaced.
After the British handed the mandate to the UN, the Arab world rejected the partition plan and launched a war to destroy the Jewish state. Arab armies and local militias tried to “push the Jews into the sea.” At the same time, Arab countries ethnically cleansed their ancient Jewish communities, forcing nearly a million Jews to flee to Israel.
During the war, Arab leaders ordered local Arabs to evacuate combat zones so their armies could annihilate the Jews. Many of those who left later became permanent “refugees” under Egyptian and Jordanian control.
Israel has never committed genocide — and never will. By defending itself, it prevents another holocaust.
Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Islamic regime of Iran are the real obstacles to peace in the Middle East.
Retweet if you support Israel’s right to exist and defend itself.
The Islamic republic has attacked Israel again.
Israel will retaliate against Iran.
Iranian skies are exposed to the Israeli Air Force.
The sooner everybody understands that there is NO deal to be made with the regime, the better for everyone.
My response to the to a hate-filled, malignant letter in @irishtimes@IsraelMFA@gidonsaar
Art O'laoighre in his letter of 29th states "Israel is not a normal, rational, peace-loving nation". And goes on to repeat the blood libels that have become so prevalent in Ireland.
What is not 'normal' is the obsessive, demonic, collective cult-like narrative that his letter perpetuates.
Israel is as normal a democratic country as Ireland, and yet countries which are clearly not 'normal' by any definition including democratic process; workers rights; women's and LGBT rights etc such as Qatar and Iran, are supported by these people - who only have Israel in their visual crosshairs, albeit obscured by almost complete cataracts.
There are many accusations one can level at the Israeli government, and some of the more radical extreme elements within their society, as in most societies. Irrationality is not one of them.
And as for peace? Israel has yearned this elusive peace since its birth. However, enemies have refused to allow this, intent on its destruction.
Israeli citizens, Jew, Arab and Christian, have sacrificed so much; thousands of young men and women have fallen trying to ensure its survival, most recently against the monstrous, barabarism wrought upon it nearly 3 years ago, to the celebration of many 'normal' palestinians and even some of the more extreme left wing agitators in Ireland.
No Art, Israel is none of the things you accuse it of. Yes, it has many flaws, and has made, and will continue to make mistakes.
Is Ireland so pure? Our history littered with horrific acts of violence, abuse and discrimination.
Regarding @HMcEntee's statement that the Foreign Affairs Council will discuss “The need for a greater collective response to the actions, in particular of the Israeli government,” I believe she and they would be better served by beginning the discussion with the statement that they support the principle that Israel must retain the right to defend itself and its citizens, and also be supported when it retaliates against Palestinian terrorism; and from that point on, let the Jews decide what is good or bad for themselves. It is not up to any foreign affairs council to determine the destiny of the Jewish people in the only Jewish state in the world. Those days of determining the destiny of Jews are long gone.
May,19,2026. Irish Sport for Palestine demands disabled Israelis be banned from international wheelchair rugby, Israeli climbers be banned from international climbing & a Dublin City Clr advocates implementing Hitler’s Final Solution. Remember there’s no antisemitism in Ireland!
IRELAND TODAY:
The Hezbollah terrorist flag was flown on the streets of Dublin today.
Hezbollah is a proxy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Hezbollah is responsible for killing Irish UNIFIL soldier Pte Sean Rooney.
Hezbollah is responsible for billions of dollars drugs trade through South America into Europe, Captagon, Cocaine and Hash as well as a huge arms smuggling business.
Of course their main aim like their supporters is to genocide Jews.
Israel firmly rejects the decision to impose sanctions on Israeli citizens and organizations.
The European Union has chosen, in an arbitrary and political manner, to impose sanctions on Israeli citizens and entities because of their political views and without any basis.
Equally outrageous is the unacceptable comparison the European Union has chosen to make between Israeli citizens and Hamas terrorists. This is a completely distorted moral equivalence.
Israel has stood, stands, and will continue to stand for the right of Jews to settle in the heart of our homeland. No other people in the world has such a documented and longstanding right to its land as the Jewish people have to the Land of Israel. This is a moral and historical right that has also been recognized by the law of nations, and no actor can take it away from the Jewish people. The attempt to impose political views through sanctions is unacceptable and will not succeed.
If @BoyGeorge had asked "Do you know Emily Hand or Kim Damti?", two Irish-Israeli hostages taken by H*mas, would that "deafening silence" have been any different?
I suspect not. When it comes to Jewish suffering, even Irishness doesn't seem to break the coldness. We already saw the truth on the streets of Dublin when Kim's and Emily's posters were torn down and vandalised.
