Yep, 64M more folks paying into the program would have kept it afloat a LOT longer. Also reducing the number of people who have never/little paid into the system would help too or at least show the true financial status of the program as the latter is really welfare & should be paid out as such.

Matt, you’re wrong on this one. We’ve been told and educated our whole life to plan retirement around Social Security income. I’ve consistently voted for folks who wanted to get it back on track, only for the Democratic Party to re-appropriate the excess to “balance the budget” (Clinton). I’m sick of the lies & fraud and now trying to rebrand our SS as an entitlement program that needs income maximums! Cut out the fraud & pork and do something good for the actual working people!
