Streaming deserialization in .๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ฅ
HttpClientJsonExtensions get a new GetFromJsonAsAsyncEnumerable method.
It sends a GET request invoking streaming API and returns the value that results from deserializing the response JSON body in an async enumerable operation.
Paste JSON As Classes in Visual Studio โฌ
Not a lot of devs are aware of this feature in VS but it's super useful.
It's available from the Edit menu.
Have you used this functionality before?

HTTP Status Codes indicate the result of an API request.
They're represented as three-digit codes.
There are different types of HTTP status codes:
- 1xx informational responses
- 2xx success responses
- 3xx redirection responses
- 4xx client error responses
- 5xx server error responses
Which HTTP status code you should use depends on what you want to communicate to your API clients. They're used to communicate if the request was successful or not. HTTP status codes also carry semantic information.
Some of the most popular HTTP Status Codes are:
- 200 OK
- 400 Bad Request
- 404 Not Found
- 500 Internal Server Error
But just returning random status codes won't help.
So here are 5 best practices I use for HTTP status codes:
- 201 when creating a new resource
- 400 when there is a validation error
- 404 when a resource is not found
- 409 when a resource already exists
- Include a Problem Details response for errors

1. Guard Clauses
2. Dead Code
3. Normalize Symmetries
4. New Interface, Old Implementation
5. Reading Order
6. Cohesion Order
7. Move Declaration and Initialization Together
8. Explaining Variables
9. Explaining Constants
10. Explicit Parameters
11. Chunk Statements
12. Extract Helper
13. One Pile
14. Explaining Comments
15. Delete Redundant Comments
In the second and third parts, it delves deeply into the tidying process and theory.
It's a short book, and I read it cover to cover, taking only about 2 hours (bonus).

I can confirm the Xreal glasses (I have the current version) are REALLY impressive. Small, you don't look SUPER dumb wearing them, and netflix looks amazing. This will be an interesting race to commoditization of the tech
