Today, many were shocked by yet another video of the drone “safari” Russians are carrying out against civilians in Kherson. A Russian drone deliberately hunted down a man selling vegetables and detonated right next to him. The Russians even admitted to the crime, showing zero regret and openly boasting about tormenting people. The man was wounded in the blast. Every single day, ordinary people in Kherson face these Russian "safaris."
The world must see this. It must see every piece of evidence that Russia has gone mad and that its soldiers take pleasure in killing and abusing civilians. Without pressure on Russia, the dismantling of its capacity for aggression, and real security guarantees, it is simply impossible to imagine the world being able to coexist with this evil. We must remain resolute in defending life. We must act and support life in ways that force Russia to seriously think about peace rather than expanding the range of its drones.
This is not just about Ukraine. Russia’s campaign against human life must be stopped here in Ukraine before it spreads further. Finland and Kazakhstan, the Baltic states and Poland, the countries of the South Caucasus, Romania, and Moldova—all should work together to ensure real security guarantees and bring Russia’s war to an end. Peace is needed, which requires cooperation among everyone in the world who truly values peace. Thank you to everyone standing with Ukraine!
You make a great A student!
Some other trends worth paying attention to:
👉Only two states in the whole of the North East published their proposed budgets.
👉Rivers remains the only state that failed to publish its Budget Implementation Report for every quarter of 2025 and again in Q1 2026.
If citizens can't see how a budget is being implemented, how do they know whether government delivered on what it promised?
We highlight other key insights in our Q1 2026 State Fiscal Transparency League report.

According to the Kano state Q4 2025 BIR, over N1bn was disbursed for the Renovation of 100 Classrooms across the State.
The lack of specific location has made tracking very difficult.
We wrote an FOI to SUBEB @knsubeb in May 2026, but they responded saying they do not have a record of the locations where renovations have been done.
The only school they directed us to was Jili Primary school Rimin Gado, and we saw that repainting and repairs have been done at the school.
We were directed to the Kano state ministry of education for information on the locations of this project.
We implore the @EducationKano, to provide the public with the full breakdown of this project, including locations and spending.

Around 3 March this year, @NigeriaGov announced a 6 year moratorium on the establishment of new universities.
Today, the same govt has announced the approval of 33 new universities.
Among the new universities approved, 2 go to @realdaveumahi's Ebonyi & one goes to @Hope_Uzodimma1's village in Omuma, Imo State.
In Ebonyi, there will be the Ebonyi State University of ICT, Science and Technology, Oferekpe, Ebonyi State; and the niversity of Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering, Ezza, Ebonyi State. That will bring it to 3 state universities in Ebonyi State.
In Hope Uzodunma's village, you will have the University of Innovation, Science and Technology, Omuma, Imo State. That will make it 2 state universities in Imo.
So much for moratoriums!

The UAE 🇦🇪 foreign policy is very interesting, especially when we look at their investment policy in Africa
In 10 years, the UAE became the 1st Gulf investor in the region. The country is also at the top positions of world direct investors, often in front of many traditional powers, depending on the different counts.
Where are they investing ?
🔹Eastern Africa (Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda...)
🔹Central Africa (DRC, Angola, Gabon...)
🔹Western Africa (Guinea, Mali, Nigeria...)
🔹Northern Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Egypt...)
What are their priorities ?
🔹Agricultural lands
🔹Ports
🔹Mining industry, in particular gold
🔹Defense (especially with RSF in Sudan)
🔹Financial investments
This strategy of financial and direct investments is making the UAE one of the most influential states in Africa, which also goes with the UAE strategy in Sudan and Ethiopia in recent years.
Whenever Nigerian government is ready to fight Fulani militants terrorism in Nigeria, it will first probe Nasarawa governors from 1999 to date.
The state has most of the operational camps of the Fulani terrorists attacking Plateau, Benue, Taraba and the FCT.
This confession from Bodejo should be taken very seriously!
It's long been rumoured, but there is solid evidence now that the usual suspects have been harvesting organs of African civilians trapped in warzones.
And you know who the "usual suspects" are. The RSF is just their latest contracted supplier.
When he left high school in 1962, John Cardinal Onaiyekan was 18.
His grades were so outstanding, the Premier of the Northern Region, Sir Ahmadu Bello, asked to see him & offered him a free cheque to the best anywhere in the world.
The man said #ThankYou & headed off to priestly formation.
64 yrs later, an #OrganizedCrime ring - led by a man with no verifiable record of having gone to school - wants to do a #RoyalRumble with a man who gave up on worldly things as a teenager.
There can be only one winner & it will not be the criminals!
The new world is not going to be built in a moment of satisfying confrontation.
It is going to be built in the accumulated weight of alternative institutions, alternative trade routes, alternative currencies, alternative development models, alternative narratives.
All of it patient.
Most of it unglamorous.
None of it delivering the clean, dramatic break that the people who have confused politics with emotional release are waiting for.
The BRICS expansion.
The yuan-denominated oil trades.
The African Union infrastructure programs.
The diplomatic openings across the Global South.
The slow, grinding, unsexy work of constructing a world where Washington's sanctions don't automatically mean global economic isolation.
This is what actual systemic change looks like.
It doesn't make good content.
It doesn't provide the dopamine hit of watching an empire confronted and humiliated in real time.
It requires the discipline to understand that you are playing a game decades long, against an opponent with more current resources than you, and that the only way to win it is to not make the mistakes your opponent needs you to make.
The empire wants you to overreact.
The empire wants you to alienate the people who could be with you.
The empire wants you to replicate its tools and therefore validate its framework.
The empire wants you angry, undisciplined, and alone.
The only winning move is to want different things.
Every election, governments make promises. Every budget, they make allocations. But somewhere between the budget and the project, Nigerians are left in the dark.
Can you see who got the contract to build that road in your community? Has your state published its budget? Can you find procurement information without knowing someone in government?
For the past three years, BudgIT has published the State Fiscal Transparency League (SFTL), an independent assessment of how transparent Nigeria's 36 states are with public finance information. The quarterly assessment examines budget transparency, procurement openness and access to key fiscal documents across all states.

Understand what you're looking at when you watch China refuse to take the bait.
Every provocation around Taiwan. Every accusation. Every arms sale to every party on China's periphery. Every technology ban. Every attempt to peel away BRI partners with counter-offers and pressure campaigns.
China's response, consistently, is to absorb, to continue building, to respond proportionately and precisely, and to let time do the work that confrontation would undo.
This drives the impatient furious.
It drives Washington insane.
Because Washington's entire China strategy depends on China reacting.
On China doing something that looks aggressive enough to consolidate the alliance structure that Washington is working overtime to maintain.
On China giving Europe a reason to stop wondering whether decoupling from China is actually in European interests.
On China giving the Global South a reason to see the multipolar project as just another form of domination.
Every time China doesn't take the bait, that alliance structure frays a little more.
Every year of Chinese growth while the confrontation-that-never-quite-materializes continues, another country does the math about which relationship is more materially valuable.
Beijing is not being weak.
Beijing is executing a strategy so patient and so disciplined that people who think in news cycles literally cannot perceive it as a strategy.
They see inaction.
They are watching a game being won.
27 years of Bola’s brutal strangulation of Lagos State.
11 years of APC rule.
3 years of Bola and his criminal gang’s total domination of Nigeria’s Federal Government.
And this is the legacy they have left for SW youth; street begging, drug abuse, thuggery, illiteracy..
This morning I am glad to announce that I have discharged the 5 patients who had free Adeno tonsillectomy done yesterday . Wonderful reports from the families, patients slept well and do did the parents who had been sleepless for 2-3 years
Good news 5 patients will be discharged home today

Destroy their farms.
Make them feel unsecured.
Make their income insignificant.
Steal their dignity.
Make them extremely poor.
Then give them rice.
Saving Nigeria from APC is the responsibility of everyone who understands the above. There is so much work to be done.
