@metalworker1010@Stahlkarnickel1@MagicOnline It's used to prevent half of the damage of your Wheel of Misfortune - It's theoretically less (??) janky than the Intervention Pact he's used before.
@ColinOClock@Jenn_the_Judge@KLubSee There's no trigger here - fun fact: reflexive triggers didn't enter the game until M19 (I'm glad I double checked because I was going to say GRN; thinking of Hypothesizzle)
@_autumnalmusing@InOzWeTrustYT@ghirapurigears@wildstwawberry There's not a single MH3 card that refers to commanders (M3C is not modern legal). The only modern legal cards that do so pre-AC are 3 cards from the Eldraine brawl decks that were made standard legal. (Tower, Signet, Tome)
@Jenn_the_Judge Double trick question! (mostly kidding) 1) You're triggering the abilities, not activating them. 2) You don't trigger the abilities "again" because the old ability instance is gone and there's a new ability instance that has yet to be triggered.
@hovermyr Going on similar lines, 1{W/B}{W/B} has a 100% hit rate... Others... 1 has Mana Vault, SDT, Sol Ring, Skullclamp... B has Contract, Vamp, Imperial, Consultation... Even 1G has Oath, Hermit Druid, Survival... I just can't understand the other replies
@hovermyr Regardless of the criteria, it's a much better answer than 4 (One Ring, Maskwood Nexus), 1U (Time Walk, Ledger Shredder), W (Swords, Path). I don't think people read the question...
@Jenn_the_Judge "and all text tied to that ability" to me would nearly imply that naming trample junks all the text associated with level up on this card since level up is basically just one ability. For another example, if a card said threshold - creature gets +3/+3, flying, and trample, (1/2)
@KyleOnAMission@Jenn_the_Judge Each other card that uses the phrase 'exiled with it' checks currently exiled cards to either apply an effect when an ability resolves or as a continuous effect, why would Murktide Regent be any different. The effect is applied when Murktide enters the battlefield it should be 4.
@Ilvaldi The replacement effect looks for a token being created of subtype Clue, Food or Treasure, and replaces that event with creating one of each of the named Clue, Food, and Treasure tokens. So you'd get 4 of each token, none are Myr.
@xJCloud I've only picked up Mono-Red a few weeks ago for the first time in a year because CoCA is so easily cuttable now. And IF I feel like running any bad cards on a night, I'll stick to ones that cost 2R.
