Race where the richest man on earth is is propping up half of the Republican spending surpasses race 2 years ago where the entire crypto lobby emptied their coffers to beat a progressive populist they couldn't buy on the senate banking committee

@LinkofSunshine It's why we should all be watching KY06 on election night first. Bellwether.

@elaifresh Fucking amazing

Brent crude above $116, highest since 2022.

Curious... especially since "the strait is open" & "exports are higher than pre-war levels".

[Michael McLean @cornoisseur]

@AmericanFietser I’ve seen both cases. Tons of backoffice and BPO work can be 100% replaced right now with not much effort in many cases.

[Michael McLean @cornoisseur]

@duckdb Amazing work from everyone. This project is fantastic

Wow! @ScottPresler a top Trump organizer and purveyor of voter fraud conspiracies let out-of-staters vote at his house in Pennsylvania during the 2024 election. @BrendanHartnett has deets.

Tech bros will say shit like this, then donate billions to elect the party that does this.

They have masked thugs in plainclothes in my neighborhood kidnapping my neighbors. They are pulling every lever they can to stop all types of immigration, both authorized and unauthorized.

Palmer Luckey warns America cannot compete with China’s population advantage forever through innovation alone: “We need 1 BILLION Americans minimum. Probably more like 2 or 3 billion.” 🇺🇸🇨🇳

“Yes, we need to get our act together. We need to do better at manufacturing, at defense, all these things. But everything is just biting around the margins if we’re 350 million people and they’re 2 billion people who are roughly the same.

How exceptional do we have to be to achieve a 10-to-1 ratio forever, in perpetuity? It’s not practical. It’s not logical.

I would say it’s even possibly a racist thing to believe that we can be so much better than China and the Chinese people that we’ll just beat them with a tiny fraction of the population.

We need to do better with what we’ve got. But we also just need a lot more people. We need 1 billion Americans minimum, probably more like 2 or 3 billion, with better demographics and better natural resources.

The Dutch once had the most powerful navy in the world. They didn’t lose that position because they fell behind on factories or shipbuilding. They became economically irrelevant.”

Both countries are competing with respect to declining birth rates. Both nations must be more willing to have children and expand the population growth exponentially over the next decade. The current economic path is unsustainable if our labor force begins to shrink even with artificial intelligence on the rise.

@aarmlovi Wish we were permitting this stuff around Elevated stations. That development would be amazing around the Belmont Red or Blue line stations. Tokyo doesn't even have 24/7 service like those lines. Also, Blue Line can be fully automated.

By every measure, Opus 4.8 beats human experts as peer reviewers in a study of 124 Harvard social science papers covering a range from statistical analyses to formal models to qualitative work.

As academics, we need to figure out how to adapt the practice of science to AI, fast.
