1) Unfortunately, it appears that Pierre Poilievre's riding of Carleton has forfeited their allocation of 20+ Coronation Medals.
Multiple sources and one booklet from Rideau Hall state that the medals were to have been presented by 31 March 2025.

A source with direct knowledge has just confirmed to me that the 20+ Coronation Medals allocated for Carleton were indeed forfeited, and the numbers returned to Rideau Hall for redistribution.
Did Poilievre refuse to award deserving constituents, or did he simply fail/forget to?

Bizarre that after completely ignoring Coronation Medals for his former riding of Carleton, Pierre Poilievre is now writing gushing letters of praise for recipients in another riding that he isn't even MP for yet.
What made him ignore deserving recipients in Carleton but do this?

Today, a King Coronation Medal awards ceremony was held at my local Legion branch in Wainwright, Alberta. Damien C. Kurek, my federal Member of Parliament (he technically resigned last week) attended the event to present the medals, and the certificates were signed by Pierre Poilievre as Leader of the Opposition.

Strangely, the ceremony was not announced or published in the Legion calendar nor in Mr. Kurek’s past info letters to constituents and not on his social media either.

What is more confusing is that Mr. Kurek has resigned as MP four days ago in the House of Commons and Mr.Poilievre is still not the MP for Battle-River Crowfoot.

Are these medals part of Mr. Kurek’s allotment or are they from Mr. Poilievre’s allotment from his previous Carleton riding since he signed the certificates?

We may never find out! 😆
