I haven't posted videos like this often - there have been many- and I would never do it without David signing off, and he did!- but this, THIS, is one of the reasons I continued to do Around the Horn for all these years. For the kids! For family! And for this feeling!

So now that the show is ending l've been doing a lot of interviews asking me why this show was different - well, there's stuff like this, which of course isn't on air or making headlines but I believe it's an ingredient in the sauce that other shows don't have. Again, it ain't on air, how can it be part of the show, but that's the trick, you feel it in the stuff that does make air. I don't think other shows even think about this as an ingredient and that's fine, if you're going to do it you have to have the muscles to do it.

The other question I get is what type of host am I. I am a dyed in the wool sportsaholic, king of the stat nerds- l've got the zero dates in high school to prove it! - and I love sports debate. But not as much as I love my people- you included-and my people's people. So having family on the set is everything to me.

But even saying that, this is different.
Langston Dennis, what a young human! Hearing young people talk about their dreams and showing their heart is the most beautiful thing in the world. Learning about your emotions is a lifelong journey and we should all be like Langston!

I'm gonna do some things going forward that are going to be a lot of fun. BIG games, BIG sports but I'm definitely gonna explore a space for young people & parents and sports kids & sports parents!! And a community forum where I'll be with you so we can have connections like this!
