@cory_cf_capital@AdviserCounsel No way. I’m sure you could be fine from compliance with a signature, but I can’t imagine my clients being ok with that. I use it so sparingly. Mostly to organize data or run an obscure one off test scenario. Absolutely no personal info. Mind blown!
@angelaganote 3/ Some may never get the update due to the algorithm, thus shaping a less factual story in their mind (another shooting in Broad Ripple that feeds the narrative that it’s a bad neighborhood). I recognize you and other journalists can’t control that.
@angelaganote 2/ I (most) don’t have live, to the second info, rather consuming it as the algorithm feeds it to us, which could be more of the issue looking back.
@angelaganote 1/ I hear you, Angela. I see your perspective. I understand and appreciate how you’re approaching the situation. My point of slowing down, comes more from the consumer side, not the journalist side.
@angelaganote I appreciate the follow-up, Angela. Didn’t mean for my tweet to be an attack towards you. Generally, I wish we could all slow down, rather than jump to quick reactions, due to the inevitable negativity about Indy or a neighborhood like Broad Ripple people tend to devolve to.
@skirish23@angelaganote@WTHRcom You’re kind of backing my point, Steve. WTHR reads much differently, while Fox (Angela, who I am a fan of btw) was stating a 16yr old was shot. Not how. Language is important. WTHR headline and the original post here, convey very different messages because of the language used.
@ParabolicGains@wealthMAinsider Would love to chat about how you’re utilizing it! I’ve tried to test things to replace tools like RightCapital, but the lack of being able to link outside accounts for tracking, somewhat made for redundant work having to input numbers
@TheMattViera My first question would be..on track for what? If he is just wanting safe retirement..probably is fine. quit work completely asap, maybe not. work on things he enjoys while not worried about salary..could definitely be on track! Most people don’t define it clearly enough to start
@markcecchini Used to, but a lot of that ended during Covid and then we had our son, so it gets challenging to plan for. A rare networking event or drinks with clients now and then. There used to be nothing better than that Wednesday/thursday post work happy hour!
Well @JimmieJohnson, your 2000 Excedrin 92 car is my 4 year old son’s favorite hotwheel. You now rank right up with Lightning McQueen as a racing legend to him. Be proud. That’s worth more than any championship or hall of fame!
@markcecchini There’s a really fine school over West Lafayette, I hear. Known for academics and basketball, even have a fine Financial Planning program. Frozen tuition for the recent memory as well..just sayin.. Boiler up!
@WifeFinance I came from a trade family, worked a trade to help pay my college. Nothing wrong with an honest living. But, college grads still statistically outearn by $1-1.5million over a lifetime. Yes trades earn more early, but tradesman who earn more long term are anomalies.
@T_Gatzemeier A good trader is like a good hitter in baseball, right about 30% of the time. You have to sell at the right peak..not giving up any gains. Then hit the bottom right, where you don’t lose any off the bat, catching it just right for the recovery. About as hard as a 12-6 curveball.
@TheJacobTurner Great points, Jacob. Question of fee structure as well? % of AUM, total NW, an income based %, or a flat fee for example. Sports or entertainment industry people I work with, are used to paying a % of earnings to attorneys or mgmt teams and don’t question how advisors charge.
@markcecchini I’m sure someone has done it, but there’s gotta be an opportunity for someone to teach a course or start a business helping millennial and gen z homeowners with all the things like this that our dads just seem to know haha. I lucked out and was taught most of this growing up!
