Thirty-five years ago, Ukraine restored its independence!
Happy holiday, great people of a great country!
Happy Independence Day of Ukraine!
Glory to Ukraine!

The full force of Russian FIMI is now being deployed against Armenia ahead of its parliamentary elections, largely recycling the same narratives used in Moldova, with attacks on Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan almost perfectly mirroring those previously directed at Maia Sandu.
To mark International Fact-Checking Day, a reminder that the world’s largest database of pro-Kremlin disinformation is publicly available.
Since 2015, EUvsDisinfo has documented nearly 20,000 cases exposing the Kremlin’s lies and information manipulation.

19 year old Iranian wrestling champion Saleh Mohammadi was just publicly executed for protesting against the Islamic Regime.
So, to all liberal Westerners:
Watch and learn.
This is what it’s like to ACTUALLY live in a nation with no free speech.
Today, in Iran, in the middle of a war, the regime executed a 19-year-old national wrestling champion for the crime of joining January protests. 💔
After signaling to the world, including President @realDonaldTrump, that they would halt executions of protesters, the regime has done the exact opposite.
Three young protesters, Saleh Mohammadi, Mehdi Ghasemi, and Saeed Davoudi, were hanged in Qom after a sham trial.
Reports indicate torture. Forced confessions. No access to chosen lawyers. Closed-door proceedings. No right to appeal.
I call on @GlobalAthleteHQ to stand with Iranian athletes who are being silenced, imprisoned, and executed simply for raising their voices.
This is not just about sports. This is about human dignity.
🚨 Someone just built a real-time global intelligence dashboard and open sourced it for free.
It's called World Monitor. Think of it as a CNN war room meets Bloomberg Terminal for geopolitics but anyone can use it.
No paid OSINT tools. No expensive subscriptions. No classified access needed.
Here's what this thing tracks in real-time:
→ Active conflict zones with escalation scoring
→ 220+ military bases from 9 countries
→ Live military aircraft tracking (ADS-B)
→ Naval vessel monitoring including "dark ships" going off radar
→ Nuclear facilities worldwide
→ Undersea cables, oil pipelines, and AI datacenter clusters
→ Protests, sanctions, internet outages, and satellite fire detection
→ Prediction markets as early warning signals
Here's the wildest part:
It has an AI that reads 100+ news sources, classifies threats in real-time, and generates intelligence briefs automatically.
Every country gets a live "Instability Index" score from 0-100 based on military activity, protests, news velocity, and structural risk.
When 3+ signal types spike in the same area, military flights + protests + satellite fires, it triggers a convergence alert.
This is the kind of tool governments pay millions for.
It runs in your browser. One command to install.
100% Open Source. MIT License.
If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff.
Democracy dies in oligarchy.
Still bruised by how the beat my beloved Inter in the overtime, but kudos to Atletico Madrid for congratulating Syria on Liberation Day https://t.co/ZB6A7Ehg8f
MBS starved hundreds of thousands in Yemen, had a US journalist dismembered, and ordered record executions.
But Trump welcomed this murderer to the WH. Some of the wealthiest people in America joined him.
Trump is signaling support for worldwide oligarchy & authoritarianism.
The @nytimes just published the report about my kidnapping, period in captivity & how I was freed. The report contains graphic details about the torture Kataeb Hezbollah subjected me to, in order to produce the false confessions.
The reporters writing the story were respectful and considerate, and did not push me to share anything I wished to keep private.
Like anyone else, I don't want the details about the worst moments of my life to be public. But I know that nearly all victims of the Iraqi militias cannot speak up: the militias either killed them, or they are in Iraq or have family in Iraq, and hence continue to be threatened by the militias.
I told myself in captivity that if I make it out alive, it'll be my duty toward the other victims of these militias who are overwhelmingly Iraqi (and Syrian), to expose their sadism and vileness. I made it out alive. I am safe. I can speak out.
Mamdani was what so many politicians, law firms, universities, media companies, and others have not been: totally, completely, authentically unafraid. That's the only way to defeat authoritarianism.
When Bashar al-Assad’s regime collapsed in Syria, many of the officials who enabled and enforced his brutal regime disappeared. Our reporting uncovers who they are, what they did and where they fled. https://t.co/TkJ3AgTRi6
Nine-year-old Ukrainian Oleksandra (Sasha) Paskal has won gold and bronze medals at the All-Ukrainian Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition "Black Sea Cup."
Sasha had dreamed of a sports career in rhythmic gymnastics. But in the summer of 2022, she was seriously injured by a Russian strike and underwent a leg amputation. The girl was pulled from the rubble in critical condition, but doctors managed to save her life.
Sasha didn’t give up. She went through rehabilitation, learned to live with a prosthetic leg, and returned to gymnastics. She also began taking up ballroom dancing.
