I have been going to the gym 3-4 times a week for more than 2 years. On the weekends, I also play sports. It is fair to stay that I am a fairly active person.
A few weeks ago, I was in an accident, which resulted in a contusion in my left knee. I was given anti-inflammatories and prescribed rest. I didn't think much of it other than it being a minor bump in my fitness routine.
Now, finally when I'm okay, it has been a real struggle to go back to the gym. I started again this week and I have dragged my feet to the gym every other day. I didn't think it would be so hard for me, but I'm surprised how much willpower it took for me to show up 3 times this week. It also helped that I have a trainer I have been working with for the past 2 years. He kept pinging me on whatsapp until I didn't start showing up. I can only imagine how hard it is for people who are not as active as me.
In my case, one thing that really worked was the fact that I know how much I enjoy it. And that I would only have to drag my feet for a couple of days until the fun kicks in again.
I feel in fitness it is important that whatever you pick is something you really enjoy. If not, you can only rely on your determination for so long. It has to eventually become fun and second nature to you. Otherwise, life keeps getting in the way and routines keep breaking.
I have also found that every time I come back after a break, I get stronger. And this time is going to be no different.
Gemini ♊️🌕 You have been protecting yourself from rejection, but in the process you’re also protecting yourself from prosperity. There are powerful possibilities on the other side of your comfort zone, if you’d actually let yourself experience them,
you’d find them successful!
@Mntwanelanga@ItsMbasa Elizabeth Gilbert spoke about this exact concept in a TedTalk!

The woman who wants shea butter, coconut oil, and copper bangles is expensive.
The woman who wants handbags, jewelry, and designer is expensive.
The woman who wants to garden, farm, and make homemade preserves is expensive.
No matter which way you cut it the divine feminine needs funds.
Pep has this really cool thing where you can pay off people’s laybyes. It’s called “laybye buddy” I think and you go to the counter & ask for the list and pay. The only boring thing is that you have to swipe every transaction one by one which is boring but other than that if you
