@Rod9331 @mrSatias Nothing to do with Putin and the current situation. Only Georgia, which only makes his point, as they agreed to peace in exchange for not filling themselves with Western weapons and fair treatment of ethnic Russians. Besides aggressive Germany/WWII triggered most of that.

Russia doesn't need to invade Britain.

It just needs fake “British patriots” online telling us to hate migrants, hate Europe, hate Ukraine and hate each other.

I’m sick of hearing people bang on about war with Russia.

And I’m even more fed up with the Ukrainian-flag-waving fanatics who appear every time someone with half a brain cell dares to say:

THE UK DOES NOT WANT WAR WITH RUSSIA.

So, for the particularly excitable flag-wavers amongst you, I’ll put this in small words and try not to go too quickly.

Across the UK, France and Germany, right-leaning parties are rising, polling strongly and attracting voters who previously wouldn’t have looked twice at them.

That isn’t a coincidence.

Nor is it evidence that millions of Europeans suddenly woke up one morning and decided to become “far-right extremists”.

People have had enough.

They’ve had enough of watching their countries change beyond recognition in pursuit of political agendas they never voted for.

And that creates one enormous problem for the left-wing, WEF-friendly political establishment currently holding power:

The electorate is turning against them.

Look around Europe.

Le Pen’s movement in France.

AfD in Germany.

Reform in Britain.

Now I can already hear the little cogs turning:

“But Farage will never become Prime Minister!”

Don’t be so sure.

Maybe Reform wins outright. Maybe there’s eventually some arrangement with the Conservatives. But mark my words: I don’t believe Labour wins the next election.

And that brings us conveniently to the new bogeyman.

RUSSIA.

We’re constantly being told Russia is the enemy and that we must prepare ourselves for an increasingly serious confrontation.

And there go those little cogs again…

“BUT RUSSIA INVADED UKRAINE!”

Yes.

Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022.

But here’s the part apparently missing from some people’s history books:

February 2022 wasn’t Chapter One.

It was simply the chapter where most of you started reading.

I’m not going to join every dot for you. Do some research.

Go backwards.

Look at Ukraine’s political history.

Look at NATO expansion.

Look at Crimea.

Look at Donbas.

Look at Minsk.

Look at the competing interests, provocations, agreements, broken agreements and events that brought Europe to February 2022.

You don’t have to agree with Russia.

You don’t have to excuse the invasion.

But for God’s sake, at least understand that history didn’t spontaneously begin when Russian tanks crossed the Ukrainian border.

Still keeping up?

Excellent.

Because while you’re staring obediently at the Russian bogeyman, have a quick glance behind you.

Britain is around £3 FUCKING TRILLION in debt.

Our borders are a mess.

Our Armed Forces have been hollowed out.

Public services are struggling.

People are being taxed into the ground.

Living standards have been hammered.

And millions increasingly believe their own government puts British citizens somewhere near the bottom of its priority list.

Yet we’re supposed to believe that preparing for confrontation with Russia is suddenly the great national priority.

We’re even hearing conversations about conscription.

Perhaps somebody in Westminster should ask themselves a very simple question:

Why don’t people want to fight Russia?

Maybe it’s because they don’t want to die fighting somebody else’s war.

Maybe it’s because they don’t believe Russia represents the greatest problem in their everyday lives.

And maybe people aren’t particularly enthusiastic about being told to fight for a country when they increasingly believe their own government doesn’t fight for them.

So no, I don’t want war with Russia.

That doesn’t make me a Putin supporter.

It doesn’t make me Russian.

And it doesn’t make me frightened.

It means I want Britain concentrating on Britain.

Rebuild our country.

Rebuild our Armed Forces.

Secure our borders.

Get our finances under control.

Put our own citizens back at the top of the priority list.

And perhaps try diplomacy before deciding another generation needs to prepare itself for war.

•Defence Intelligence in the Ministry of Defence;
•the National Cyber Force (NCF);
•the Joint Intelligence Organisation (JIO) in the Cabinet Office;
•the National Security Secretariat (NSS) in the Cabinet Office; and
•Homeland Security Group in the Home Office.

It oversees all British spook covert ops in the East since 2014. Including the attack on the Kerch bridge, the Kursk intervention and - closer to home - both the Skripal ‘poisoning’ and the attack on Jeremy Corbyn back in 2018.

It has recently been reorganised to target not just Russia/Ukraine, but also China, Iran and Gaza.
