@MichaelRosenYes Michael - the main point in all of this is that every child that does transition will mean a higher tax burden… £6k per child per year GAG (state) funding PLUS the state system has very little capacity in it. So add a few hundred million for extra school buildings.

The vast majority of private school fees are less than £30k. So the very best outcome would be that this is breakeven - the very best!
