Enter a female hostel and go sit on one of the public toilets first before confidently announcing that women can’t get infections from toilets. 😂
Every time this conversation comes up, a lot of male HCPs rush to say, “There’s no such thing as a toilet infection” or “You can’t get a UTI from a toilet seat.”
The problem is that many of you hear women describing a real experience and immediately start looking for ways to dismiss it instead of trying to understand what they’re actually saying.
Women are not claiming that every toilet seat is a magical infection portal. What we’re saying is that poorly maintained public toilets can be unhygienic, can expose people to bacteria and other microorganisms, and can create conditions that increase the risk of infections (which happens often btw). Women’s anatomy also makes us more vulnerable to UTIs than men.
The bigger issue is the pattern. Women say, “This is what happened to my body,” and instead of listening, many (read male) HCPs immediately reach for a textbook to explain why the woman couldn’t possibly be right.
We’ve seen this happen repeatedly across women’s health. For years, women complained about symptoms that weren’t being taken seriously. Women with conditions like PCOS spent years describing their experiences before the medical community fully appreciated many of the metabolic aspects of the condition. Our experience with pain management is another example.
Healthcare works best when clinicians combine scientific evidence with patient experiences. The textbook matters. Research matters. But listening to patients matters too.
Women live in these bodies every day. Maybe stop assuming we’re confused every time we tell you what we’re experiencing.
The key to living a comfortable life is confrontation and chaos actually. You have to say no. You have to tell people to fuck off. You have to be mean in necessary situations. A life of peace isn’t built off of being a yes man and taking a passive approach to everything
It is just a normal business transaction. You pay for sex and get the service paid for. It is the oldest and most common business transaction anywhere in the world. Frankly, it is even a more honest transaction when you juxtapose with the relationship reality of our time where people regularly subscribe for affection and getting nothing in return except sporadic sex. That is a big investment for little return.
Some people would say you pay for sex one way or the other, but that is not necessarily true. For relationship, you have sex out of love and responsibility. If both parties are aware the sex is transactional, he pays for it and gets the service he paid for. For casual sex and Friends with Benefit, it is a bit more complicated. What is a problem is paying your own partner for sex because the sex should be done out of love. You have a duty to each other, to love and to cherish. Sex should strengthen your bond and fill you with happiness.
For casual sex, sexual relations is still a form of relationship. If you're vulnerable with someone to have sex with each other, the least you can do is be kind to them. For friends with Benefits, you're first friends before anything else. Friendship demands that you come through for your friends when they need it. So while you're not exactly paying for the sex, you have a form a relationship that demands you come through for each other. You wouldn't be unkind to someone you have sexual relations with.
I can understand paying for sex. It is paying for relationship that I cannot understand. For the former, you need a service, and you're willing to pay for it, and that is okay. Sometimes, you have those that are happy to sleep with you because they like you or because they are horny too. Sometimes, the ones you want, wants financial compensation for their time, and that is fine. From sugar baby to side chic, to E-hailing, the market is big.
I wouldn't say it's low. I would just say it is an alternative that gives you multiple options.
I really hope one day women wake the f#ck up and see how these men will manipulate you to their full advantage if you let them. Y’all be so busy trying to prove you’re loyal, worthy, or “different” 🙄 meanwhile he hasn’t done a damn thing to show you he deserves that kind of energy hasn’t proven he’s got your back, your best interest, or that he won’t leave you feeling stupid, embarrassed, and disgusted.
You poured your heart out tryna prove your value to a man who’s shown you NOTHING!!.
It all starts from slut shaming and body shaming women because you were turned down. Talmbout: she's not even fine, she's mid, she's not that girl.. all according to you!
Next is cooking up lies to your fellow guys in the area that you've ran through her.
Next is stalking her to get her nudes, to blackmail and threaten her.
As if that's not enough, you go as far as raping/murdering her all because she told you NO
The same NO you've been telling people yet none laid a finger on you, but because it's a woman, you don't see your miserable self get turned down.. who tf are you??!!
It is absolutely exhausting and heartbreaking that we have to keep having this same conversation.
A woman’s body is not public property. There is no outfit, no location, and no situation that makes rape okay.
But beyond the anger we feel today, we need to talk about the lifelong trauma victims are forced to carry. Long after this stops trending, survivors are left battling PTSD, anxiety, and unseen scars. Many suffer in silence because they are terrified of a society that will ask them what they were wearing rather than holding the perpetrator accountable.
Every single survivor of sexual assault deserves absolute justice and a safe space to heal without judgment. The perpetrator belongs behind bars, but as a society, we also need to do better at protecting our women.
I am sending her, and every other survivor out there my support. I hope she gets all the medical and psychological support she needs right now.
If a Man wants to destroy a Woman too, all he needs is just one day.
There’s nothing sacred/scary/spiritual about them.. Everyone is capable of wickedness and evil
The downside of people viewing you as someone strong & resilient is them thinking that nothing hurts your feelings.
I want others to be gentle with me the way I’m gentle with them.
If you’re not a feminist, this is not your post; you can scroll past it.
Hi girl, you might already know this, but I just wanted to remind you:
Stay away from male centered women. Not only can they put you in danger, they might even kill you for an ounce of male validation. 🙏🏽
A month after I first met my wife, she flew from Paris to Valencia to visit me. I wasn’t at the airport to pick her up. I’d asked if that was okay and she said yes. I didn’t know it was actually a big deal to her.
2 months later I took the train from Amsterdam to Paris to visit her there for the first time and she commuted an hour by metro just to meet and welcome me at the train station.
I never needed to be told again.
Two years later we got married, moved to Nancy, and she got an internship at Baker & McKenzie Luxembourg. It was cheaper to keep our French apartment and have her commute by train. She returned every evening at 8:11pm. I was at the train station to welcome her every single day.
I kinda agree some men aren’t worth the asking. But men are not mind readers.
Find someone humble enough to hear what you want, and respond. Then show them what love looks like and watch them learn your language.
You have to ask. The right one listens. And then you stop having to.
Ignore her?
That only works on a woman who is chasing validation.
A woman who knows her worth does not get addicted to neglect, She gets detached. Silence does not make her lean in. It makes her reassess, and decide the best course of action
Healthy women are drawn to consistency, respect, and emotional safety. If you think withdrawal is strategy, you will attract insecurity, denial and false/ forced respect not substance.
Ignore a secure woman long enough and she will not beg, She will adjust. And as she adjusts, she moves on quietly and drop your silly a--- off Partnership and mutual respect works on real women.
You’ve been chasing a colleague — she turned you down.
You still invited her to your parents’ wedding anniversary.
You introduced her to everyone as “my colleague from the bank.”
Your elder brother even asked: “Are you two dating?”
You said NO.
During the event, he met her, collected her number, and they started talking.
Now they’re dating.
Suddenly, you’re angry, acting crazy, and ready to scatter the whole family because “my brother took my babe.”
Someone that rejected you, someone you told everyone that you weren’t dating.
So what exactly was stolen?
Some men don’t lose women… they lose their sense of reality.
I think the issue of age gaps is something everyone should sit down and really think about.
Beyond the medical and physical concerns, there is also the emotional aspect to consider. Let me explain with a story.
I have a friend who was dating a man who was 11 years older than her. She had always wanted a much older man, and she got what she wanted. At first, everything was sweet, but over time the man began to put a lot of pressure on her.
They started dating when we were in 300 level. In her final year, the man told her he wanted them to get married. My friend couldn’t combine her final-year project, exams, and marriage, so she asked him to be patient until she finished school.
She had already been sensing pressure from him even before her final year. Immediately after she finished her exams, he began pushing her to do everything at once, learn handwork, tech skills, or anything that could bring in money. While self-development is good, he expected her to achieve in a few months what had taken him six years to accomplish.
Whenever they had issues, he would tell her to get a job, even though she had not yet seen her final-year results at the time.
Emotionally, age gaps can also create a power imbalance. The older partner may unconsciously act like a parent or boss instead of a partner issuing instructions, setting deadlines, and using money or “experience” as leverage during arguments. That’s no longer love; it becomes control.
Another thing people ignore is growth space. A younger partner needs room to make mistakes, explore options, and grow at their own pace. When that space is denied, resentment builds. By the time the younger person finally
So yes, age gaps require more than love. They require patience, emotional intelligence, and respect for different life stages. Without these, the relationship becomes a race the younger partner is forced to run and that is never healthy.
