It’s sad bc the balance of apathy and perfectionism they aspire to doesn’t exist. You have to try then fail. You can’t be effortless. It takes effort. I love my cringey tumblr poetry. teenage me singing in the mall. You try, you cringe, you fail and you learn to succeed. Fuck em.
Before pride month starts im just gonna say this:
-men’s mental health month is in November
-straight pride isn’t a thing. Nobody has ever been oppressed or killed for being straight
-veterans get 2 months. May and November

i really wish proshots would release with an alternate version where the camera view is just one long unbroken shot of the entire stage. cinematic zoom-ins look nice and all, but when you do that a lot w/ theater productions you really miss out on a lot of details in the show :/
you can scream "achilles wasnt gay for patroclus" as loud as you like but unfortunately this is one of those cases where the truth is immaterial, the truth is dust in the wind, gay sex achilles is a matter of myth now, sodomy woven into the cultural fabric, it can't be undone
Unpopular book opinion - characters in books aren’t always written to make you, as a reader, like them. Seeing poor reviews of a book mainly because the ‘character was unlikeable’ sometimes rubs me the wrong way
I finished reading “The Tainted Cup” by Robert Jackson Bennett. Wow—this was fantastic. A total hit. I don’t usually read fantasies, but this works brilliantly as a mystery novel as well. Above all, its uniquely original world-building is outstanding. It’s set in another world where, during the rainy season, massive creatures known as “Leviathans” attack the defense walls. In order to fight back, people have developed enhanced abilities through biological modifications. Within this fantastical setting, the story follows a pair of investigators—gifted individuals working for the Ministry of Justice—as they pursue a mysterious death. It’s hard to fully capture in just a few words, but this is a masterpiece that deserves to be read. Highly recommended.
