Because of the horrible export format, migrating a large blog away from Typepad is a non-trivial task. I even had to write some Perl code to do it! If you have a big site to move before the end of the month when Typepad turns its lights out, get in touch.
Because of the imminent closure of Typepad, the blog of the late great Prof Norman Geras has to move. I have migrated it to a (temporary) home at WordPress-dot-com. Please share this tweet and stress-test the installation. Link to follow. I'm aware of the glitch with image links.
If you have or manage a Facebook Page—esp for a business—be aware that there's currently a new wave of an old scam hitting inboxes. You are FB-messaged as the page admin and told that you need to click through to a page to fix a violation. DO NOT DO THIS.

@Kassandra0fTroy@DamCou @TheSimonEvans Thank you very much for this, Kassandra. I've updated the tour dates on Simon's website with the latest info he forwarded to me. Your screenshot also exposed how the pandemic-rescheduled dates looked messy on mobile, so you helped me tweak that too.
Editors at scientific journals, you can do something to stop risky pathogen research - form a pact to collectively refuse to publish research where pathogen sequences have been kept private for more than 2 years and where chimera of known/novel pathogens have been created.
@jamesdoleman Ah, someone from the Tinfoil Hat Times is here to miss the point completely. The tweet I'm referring to was the one that got me suspended.
@nailheadparty@thwphipps Why do you even care? Even *I* couldn't remember what was in the bio here. I just never bothered to update it. I never use this account. It's updated now for all that it matters.
Pleasingly, I can still use the block feature on my other account, so, along with new followers I'm acquiring today, I'm getting the chance to block previously-unknown-to-me members of Magic Grandpa's cult twice over.
Perfectly, this thread has been a magnet for the hammer-and-sickle brigade (none of whom have their own faces in their profile pics) to turn up and give me the devastating news that I'm bald and tell me I'm paranoid to think that that hammer-and-sickle brigade have it in for me.
Someone is getting butthurt that I've implied that Corbynistas are behind this suspension. For the avoidance of doubt, it could very well be an automated flagging problem this time. There's no way to know either way, as I have withdrawn my appeal to Twitter and deleted the tweet.
@NickLongworth14@DamCou Yeah, because I took a screenshot of someone's tweet, to call the tweet "pompous", and deliberately *didn't* mention them by name or Twitter handle—because I didn't want to pick a fight—and you replied by tagging them in by their Twitter handle. I block everyone who does that.
Thanks to malicious reporting of my incredibly mild joke about the views of the Corbyn brothers, I've been locked out of my @DamCou account, for "hateful conduct". The tweet didn't reference any protected characteristic on Twitter's list, so I refused to delete it. Have appealed.
