Christopher Nolan says Goya's painting of Saturn eating his son was a big inspiration for the Cyclops in ‘THE ODYSSEY’.
“[What] makes it the most frightening is that from the monster's POV, they're not a monster. We're irrelevant to them, and that's what's really scary.”

also people saying it’s a poor vs rich thing is just pure stupidity bc an imax ticket isn’t that vastly difference in price. its just demand, and not meeting that demand
i’m having a really hard time with this debate and feel very neutral about my stance. i wouldn’t necessarily say nolan is to blame but i will say it is disheartening of amc and imax to not have these theaters more accessible. idk man
The Odyssey in IMAX vs. regular screens.
So much of the film is lost on a regular screen.
Nolan did a disservice to the majority of viewers who don't have access to IMAX.
Baby’s first tweet! Tom Cruise did indeed come into Lincoln Square to watch “The Odyssey” at a private screening and on his volition after a very sweet chat he invited all of us working to come and watch the movie with him. It was magical. The President of Movies indeed!
