Was talking about vocal timbre in my pop class today. Played some Hamilton, asked them to describe L*n-Manuel Miranda’s voice. There was a near-unanimous consensus that it was “annoying.” Huh, ok. I challenged them to articulate WHY it annoyed them. Their thoughts: (a 🧵)
