@Raminho@UNHumanRights@CraigMokhiber@volker_turk Human rights - how far we need to go and we can - starting with unbridled humanitarian support for Palestinians and reinstatement of THEIR territory, their lands - thank you
As this wave of covid continues to rise there are things you can do to protect yourself:
-Masking in crowded/indoor spaces.
-Getting a booster (if you're luck enough to be offered one).
-Meeting out doors.
-Ventilating indoor spaces.
-Testing.
Look after yourselves and each other
When it comes to my research, and beyond, I value fairness and prioritize it in all I do [doesn’t everyone?]. Take the @PLOS quiz to find out which value drives your research: https://t.co/x3xDB18fCm #MyScienceValue
Invitation to air/share/publish your views, ideas and efforts to understand the complexity of acute severe #malaria - towards #translational research to save lives - manuscripts welcome https://t.co/rfd5jxSvhm
Reducing SARS-CoV-2 in Shared Indoor Air https://t.co/XvgrkeMWzu via @JAMA_current part of @JAMANetwork ventilation is everything! Not quite but well worth the effort
It's out 🤩! We used FACS and single cell RNAseq (#scRNAseq) to investigate how the #malaria parasite #Plasmodium berghei behaves in different organs and host cells, and found that host cell age matters!

BREAKING: Face coverings will remain compulsory on @TfL.
The wearing of face coverings helps reduce the spread of Covid, and crucially gives Londoners confidence to travel - vital to our economic recovery.
My mask protects you, your mask protects me.

Lifting restrictions: I hope virus didn't get that memo. Otherwise we are in for an unnecessarily rough ride - well not 'we' exactly but all the vulnerable folks who deserve much better. Vaccination YES, masks in public spaces YES, spaces well ventilated YES all good but hey...?
You know what causes delayed treatment for non-covid related disease?
It's not restrictions.
It's allowing covid to spread out of control.
I can't believe we are still having to make this point 18 months on.

@wi_john@FinancialTimes I will continue to wear a mask for the foreseeable future - 1/ In shops 2/ Indoors in public places 3/ On public transport 4/ In crowded outdoor settings 5/ In other settings when asked to do so or if I may make others feel uncomfortable
Many congratulations to @angela_marang21 for passing her PhD viva with minor corrections today. Thank you so, so much to examiners @EstherBecker and Gordon Cramb @StAndMedicine

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, I take the opportunity to urge governments, organizations and individuals to rededicate themselves to making the achievement of peace the centerpiece of our lives. https://t.co/jQjSW8hS66
Housing costs have driven far too many Londoners away from our great city, robbing us of their skills and expertise.
We need to help London’s key workers to access a safe and secure home that they can afford. https://t.co/FpON9fVlkA
God bless the ineffable Peter Green, one of the unsung heroes of musical integrity, innovation and spirit. When I heard he left Fleetwood Mac in 1970 to get a real life and donate his wealth to charity, he became something of a model for me.
