Today, we celebrated another defining moment for Africa’s health future — the Industry Engagement Day on the Continental Listing and Future Initiatives!

Through the Evaluation of Medicinal Products (EMP-TC) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP-TC) Committees, the African Medicines Regulatory Harmonization (AMRH) initiative has piloted a continental listing process for human medicinal products — a groundbreaking step toward regulatory convergence across Africa.

The results speak volumes: 12 quality-assured products now featured in the Green Book https://t.co/g8pUZrbFu1, fast-tracking national approvals and expanding access to safe, effective, and trusted medicines across the continent.

Today’s engagement united regulators, manufacturers, and partners to:
✅ Reflect on lessons from the continental pilot
✅ Mark the official closure of the pilot phase and chart the next steps under the African Medicines Agency (AMA)
✅ Consult on the Continental Listing of In Vitro Diagnostics (IVDs) launching in 2026
✅ Explore a sustainable fee-for-service model to support future operations
