@caragsdale Agreed. I have been vocal to those in my circle who use their platform as Christian elites to forward the anti-Trump ideology. It’s truly sad to see scholars I respect step into politics with such ultracrepidarian confidence. It’s bad leadership.
@caragsdale It’s disorienting to see those so studied and nuanced in one field, appear so rudimentary when engaging a political topic they hold ideologically. The personal attacks and throwing away of relationships is the worst.

@DianeLangberg Absolutely true. It is also difficult for communities of God to navigate people willing to lie about abuse. As always, discernment is such a crucial human task.
@caragsdale@UVA I am a proponent of free speech, but when “hate speech” becomes more contentious for administrations than speech which approves of actual violence, speech is revealed as not the issue at all.
