A switch-on test of the AIS receiver was performed yesterday. The goal was to briefly turn on the receiver for a status check. During the brief period the receiver was powered some AIS messages were received and transferred to onboard storage #ZAcube2

Update: #ZACube2 appears to be healthy with its battery fully charged. Two beacons during each pass (four in total) were received and decoded this morning from the Spaceteq ground station at Houwteq. The #CubeSat also responds to commands. Thanks to everyone involved!

Today we launching our 1st ever COIL venue @CPUT District Six Campus. Credit must go to the IMPALA Project funded by @EUErasmusPlus. COIL founder Prof Jon Rubin from USA is among the guests present. Now we can finally Collaborative Online International Learning with our partners.

IMPALA Conference registration is now open at the Double Tree Hotel. The participants from the 4 universities @ULvarsity @forthare_Uni @Univenofficial @CPUT are all in the Mother City. This is the final conference but the legacy continues.
