most nft projects start with a collection.

@NewDreamFolder starts with a question.

what are we, when everything unnecessary is stripped away?

that’s what immediately caught my attention about the project.

while many collections begin with traits, characters, or utility, new dream folder begins with an idea.

a human being.

reduced to pixels.

then reduced further.

until all that’s left is a simple square.

the most basic digital building block.

and from that single shape, entire worlds are created.

i genuinely think that’s one of the more interesting artistic concepts i’ve come across recently.

because beneath the art is a philosophy that’s surprisingly relatable.

we all begin from the same foundation.

the same basic components.

the same shared humanity.

yet every person builds a completely different life, story, and identity from it.

that’s essentially what new dream folder explores.

different dreams emerging from the same source.

different realities built from the same pixels.

because somewhere along the way, a lot of nft projects stopped focusing on imagination.

that’s part of what made the early days of digital art and nfts so exciting.

i get a bit of that feeling when i look at what @NikMdt is building.

that’s why i think the community forming around new dream folder is worth paying attention to as well.

those communities often become the most interesting ones over time.

especially when they’re built around a creator with a clear vision.

i think one of the hardest things to achieve in nft art is simplicity.

people assume simple characters are easy to create.

they aren’t.

the best character collections are often the ones that can communicate personality in a single glance.

that’s exactly what caught my attention about @theminionxyz.

at first glance, the artwork looks straightforward.

clean designs.

bold silhouettes.

easy-to-recognize characters.

but spend a little more time looking and you’ll notice something interesting.

every minion feels different.

not because of complicated traits.

because of personality.

some look calm.

some look confident.

some look completely unhinged.

some look like they’ve been causing trouble since the moment they were created.

and that’s what makes character-driven collections work.

people don’t choose pfps because of rarity spreadsheets.

they choose them because a character resonates with them.

because they see themselves in it.

because the character has an identity.

the team behind minions seems to understand that.

instead of creating 10,000 copies of the same idea, they’ve built a world around distinct personalities and classes.

the regulars.

the cool ones.

the wild ones.

the bosses.

the originals.

each category feels like a different part of the same universe.

and that universe is clearly designed to be playful rather than overly serious.

honestly, i appreciate that.
