Sydney Taylor was not a top 100 recruit out of high school. She went to UMass & averaged 6 mins/game her freshman year. Taylor later earned all conference honors & transferred to Louisville for her 5th year. She went undrafted out of Louisville, so she played overseas. Still no offers from the WNBA. This year, Taylor signed a training camp contract with the Sky, essentially a tryout. Not only did she make the team, she earned a starting spot. Now Taylor is a legit WNBA rookie of the year candidate who just hit one of the nastiest game winning shots of the season. Delayed but not denied. 👏🏻
