Absolute joke of an irish derby supposed to be the pinnacle of the flat season in ireland and no irish trainer entered a horse whose surname didn't end in o'brien
“No-one could see that coming.” Thomas Tuchel on Reece James’ injury. Except, unfortunately, everyone could see that coming. Frustrating in every sense. Picking James in the squad was understandable. Top full-back. But to have insufficient cover was naive.
And then, following Tino Livramento’s injury (and he was a risk), not to call in Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was available, prepared and willing, but to call in a centre-back in Trevoh Chalobah, was bizarre.
Tuchel is an exceptional head coach but his treatment of Alexander-Arnold and handling of the great right-back debate is perplexing. It’s a specialist position. Djed Spence can play right and Nico O’Reilly left. But then Tuchel is shoehorning centre-backs in at full-back. However willing (Konsa, Quansah) it’s not ideal. #ENG #FIFAWorldCup
Barcelona should be having a hard look at themselves over why they bought Gordon for more than double the price they could’ve bought Rashford for. Rashford twice the player.
Christmas Day, wearing pink silks, leads the Derby field to the line. I went out of the course to capture the moment, and only when looking down the track do you truly appreciate the uphill finish and the tilt of the camber.

I realise plenty of people who bought tickets to some recent snooker events will have been frustrated when I withdrew, so I just wanted to say sorry to those of you who’ve been disappointed with me having to pull out of those tournaments.
I’ve been trying to prioritise my health and well-being, which sometimes means making last-minute decisions not to play. It’s never an easy decision and I hate letting people down.
I’m doing what I can to get back to my best, and I’m grateful for all your support and understanding.
I’m sorry, but I am absolutely gobsmacked that England did not have ONE team practice session since losing the 1st ODI and losing the T20 series.
How can this be?
Seriously, how?
I believe Joe Root was the only player to have a net this series, post Nagpur.
There isn’t a single sportsman on this planet who can honestly say, that they’d improve without practicing whilst they’re getting beaten.
There also cannot be one player in that England side that can sit on the plane leaving India and saying to themselves, they did everything they can to try help England win.
And for that, I’m am actually incredibly sad this evening. 🤔
Losing is fine if you’re giving your best to improve everyday and if England didn’t train during this series then they didn’t try. Heartbreaking for any England fan!
Evening RIP Denis Law what a Legend with a double Capital L I loved him as a player what a character. Then we met on the circuit I remember once with George Best & Denis I walked in the dressing room and Denis said to George "Right you punch him I'll nick his money" He talked so fast in in a Scottish accent some times I said "slow down your mouth will get a speeding ticket". He was great fun to be with people like Dennis were rare Pure Gold on & off the pitch. A sad sad day for football and across Manchester and Scotland there should be a silent minute for the memory of a true true legend. RIP Denis the short time I spend in your company will never to be forgotten.
