If this was Herbs first controversy, fair enough but the dude is a notoriously terrible ref and I don't get how he still gets main events

Lots of fighters go out of their way to avoid hitting the back of the head and change angles. Gane made zero attempts and landed at least a few without warning

@acdmma_ Legitimately, if I was a fighter with a main event fight, I'd put terms of my acceptance that Dean isn't the ref. Have more fighters boycott terrible refs.

If the UFC and commission won't enforce things, they should find a better way to protect themselves.

@IQ_combat @SpinninBackfist Honestly man, if they're not going to enforce the rules and refs aren't going to be punished for being bad at their jobs, just get rid of refs and we can go back to UFC rules. At least make it so everyone can benefit and not just cheaters

@IQ_combat @SpinninBackfist No joke. How many back of the head shots did Gane need to land before Herb remembered he was the ref in the fight? I legitimately don't get how Herb does so many main events... Easily the worst ref in the UFC and still going strong

@Mappy6984 Hard disagree. You don't know what some random person's intention is when rushing you and if you get blindsided by it, your fight or flight kicks in.
Many many artists are more wary (at least in the metal community, I can't speak for other genres) since Dimebag got shot on stage

@ShookGuy1 Mine has been fantastic all night and just started cutting out constantly. Feels weird to pay for a service that is now as reliable as an online stream. To be fair though, it is their first event. Figured there'd be some technical issues involved.

@thelastofblond It is a tone-deaf amount of ads... Missing out on what's being said by the corners in between rounds (that they're already zoomed in on) so we can be beat over the head with network ads is annoying.

Also feels stupid to pay for ad free content to still have constant ads

@Joshua655381470 @mmagenius Sounds like they used a blink 182 song for the event promotion and he's a big UFC fan... So that's probably why he was there but no idea why they had him on the show. Someone probably panicked after listening to Weidman and said "try anything else ... grab that tattooed guy!"

Having to listen to Weidman and Travis Barker is a horrible replacement...
