We currently produce more than import, we could be completely free of global influences but our companies are for profit and will always sell at the highest price possible

US companies will sell at the global rate, not offer a discount because they can. They’re for profit companies and will set at max price point

Inflation was the result of it all opening back up and demand increasing. It’s really not hard to understand
