@mhp_guy If you want to start a (quiet) revolt among accountants and other assorted finance geeks, tell them you’re switching to Google Sheets.
Most people in the office will look at you like you beat an exceptionally cute puppy.
@ollama This spec looks unreal. It doesn’t seem possible that this model should only need a 4070 GPU and 32gb of ram to run. I need to give this some run.
@lex_node Arguing without reason is dumb.
I do believe the ETH foundation should focus on changes that gradually increase the value of the token.
For no other reason than it indirectly increases the incentives of the participants to increase the security and utility of the network.
@marty_kausas It’s disappointing to see your finance spend so low. Claude is incredibly useful for finance. I use it for everything from working with excel files to writing python scripts.
@DelawareBRT@UDelaware@JeffersonUniv is the right partner for Delaware. Jeff has a long history of partnering with Delaware to train Delaware physicians through the DIMER program.
It was amazing how tight the controls that Anthropic put on Fable 5 before this.
I got flagged down from Fable 5 for a query about developing a custom fiber blend. I was curious whether it would give a different answer than I received from Opus 4.8.
Just normal dietary fiber. I did specify organic.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

For a lot of tasks, I like to run the same job through Claude, ChatGPTj, and Gemini and then decide which gives me the better output.
For things that I do regularly, Claude Skills seem to really let me dial in how Claude performs the task.
For one off tasks, it’s a bit of a crap shoot which model will be best at a given task.
@BrianDiSab The order backlog for cloud services in Alphabet’s Q1 earnings report was staggering.
Make the permitting easy for data centers to bring their own power to add to the grid and move it forward.
The NBA will NEVER solve tanking.
Teams will always be incentivized to take chances to find a person with one of the scarcest skill sets on the planet. https://t.co/AkR6JpdL4W
I told an executive that the COBOL programmer that everyone took for granted was the most valuable employee in their company for just this reason.
They were running their company on an old piece of custom software.
If that guy quit, retired, or got hit by the proverbial bus, the company would have had a massive problem on their hands.
Manufacturing has SOPs, manuals, and systems.
Knowledge work has… "Ask Steve, he knows how it works."
That's not a process. That's a single point of failure wearing a lanyard.
One of Software Factory’s key selling points is its ability to absorb tribal knowledge and give companies tools to manage its evolving knowledge and make it available to all of its employees.
@lex_node craigbeebe on telegram, have held ETH for a very long time. Was looking at it for supply chain operations almost a decade ago but the tech stack just wasn’t there yet.
I’m thoroughly enjoying @claudeai CoWork. Turning it loose on multiple tasks and seeing what it comes back with when I get back is exciting and I definitely don’t have it dialed in yet.
I adjusted our spend per student vs performance by the state by state cost of living index.
Top five spend per student in the country, bottom 5 performance.
I would like to see every spending bill in the State have an automatic sunset if it doesn’t meet performance targets that are defined in the spending bill.
@t_blom Does token spend hit a point of diminishing marginal returns or does it scale infinitely?
I’m assuming there is an optimal level of token spend and companies will both figure it out and make it a KPI.
I hope @POTUS consults with tech and manufacturing CEO’s & CTO’s to understand how critical Taiwan is to the global supply chain.
Their chips are in everything.
We won’t replace their capacity or quality domestically by 2030.
