Yet British Gas sent me a bill for over £250. I've sat for over an hour in a queue to speak to someone and they immediately leave the chat. If anyone has any advice how to fight this I'd be grateful.

So this is what @BritishGas does to people. I was sent a bill totalling £252 for 3 week usage before I moved out of my previous property. I raised a complaint stating I never used more than £68 for gas and electric for a month period. You can see this on my previous payments

I pay every 3 months. I was told I would receive a response within 5 working days. Fast forward 10 days I had no contact from British Gas. I was then sent a bill for £68.47, less than 24 hours later I was then sent another bill for £146.53 for 3 week usage. I lived on my own.
