I have some great news for people of Bengaluru and Mumbai.
From last 30 years, our two great cities were connected by only one super fast train -Udyan Express. Even that train took more than 24 hrs to reach. This forced most people to inevitably take bus or flights. Travel was expensive and uncomfortable.
There was consistent demand from people of both the cities to start more train services. I had raised this issue multiple times in Parliament, PAC meetings, with Railway Board Chairman and with the Railway Minister, over the last four years. It is just baffling that such important economic nodes as Bengaluru and Mumbai didn’t have more than one direct super fast train from so long.
Finally, like he is delivering on many important promises for the nation, our most dynamic and erudite Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav Ji has made more super fast trains possible by increasing lane capacity in both Bengaluru and Mumbai Railway stations. I also thank our own Sri V. Somanna Ji for all his support.
In the coming days, rail travel between the two cities will increase and will benefit lakhs of people.
Gratitude to PM Narendra Modi ji and Ashwini Ji for making this happen!

The Ironman 70.3 Goa, known for attracting athletes from over 50 countries, has become a premier event for athletes and fitness enthusiasts in India and across the World.
The challenge involves a 1.9km swim, a 90km cycling segment, and a 21.1km run, covering a total distance of 113km. This is the ultimate test of one’s endurance, and physical and mental fitness.
Over the last 4 months, I have trained rigorously to improve my fitness and as a result, am happy to share that I have completed this challenge!
The inspiration itself goes back to #FitIndia initiative kickstarted by PM @narendramodi ji, which helped me reflect on my fitness goals. As a young nation chasing big ambitions, we must nurture our physical fitness and become a more healthier nation. An endeavour to become fit also makes you more disciplined and confident, which improves chances of your success in any venture that you undertake.
#FitIndia movement goes a long way in increasing this awareness and bringing more people on to fitness routines, that’s so essentially needed for our nation!
As a finisher in this daunting challenge, I can attest to the young folks that fitness goals really push your boundaries, and make you a better individual. I appeal all fence sitters and perpetual planners to hop onto this journey and make progress!
Bengaluru's traffic problem needs urgent short and long term solutions.
A well-connected Metro network will play a pivotal role in easing Bengaluru's traffic problem. But whether it's the Phase 1 or the Yellow Line, BMRCL has never been able to meet its deadlines in any project it has taken up.
We are everyday seeing people struggle for some breathing space in Bengaluru's overcrowded metro trains.
From addressing delays in procurement of coaches to speeding up the execution of projects, BMRCL has a lot of catching up to do.
But the city cannot wait. Leaving party politics aside, I once again urge CM @Siddaramaiah & DCM @DKShivakumar to urgently convene a meeting of public representatives & traffic experts to explore solutions for Decongesting Bengaluru.

Bengaluru celebrated Modi Habba today. It was a festival like no other! More than a million people participated in this festival.
Fortunate are those who got to witness this euphoria in person. Doubt this can ever be recreated again.
Thank you Uru for making this possible.
Well done @HCI_London - The Tiranga, bigger than ever before is a befitting answer to the Khalistani thugs who vandalised the tricolor in London at the Indian High Commission in support of separatist #AmritpalSingh
