this is amazing. the semantron has existed since early christian monastic communities, & during periods of persecution such as it was under ottoman rule, who often restricted the use of church bells, wooden semantrons were used instead.

25. srpna dorazila od Olomouce do Prostějova mohutná sovětská kolona, která se chtěla vydat směrem na Brno.

Dopravní značky byly přetřené, jinde chyběly či ukazovaly špatným směrem.

They were beaten and arrested. The banner read: “For your freedom and ours.”
