I built a $260M ecom company fully bootstrapped (with my team)
Here's how in 15 steps:
1. Find a problem you personally hate as a customer (5 min)
2. Validate market size. Ours was $900M and growing
3. Find a co-founder with 7+ years of proven chemistry
4. Spend 12+ months on product β not 4 weeks like most founders
5. Target 80% gross margins before you spend $1 on marketing
6. Launch 100% subscription only; no one time purchases ever
7. Price at premium : $10 signals $10 quality
8. Offer 50% off month one β test every variation, this always wins
9. Run influencer cohorts of 25-50 : expect 10% to convert, kill the rest fast
10. Whitelist winning influencer content as paid ads β 20-40% of budget
11. Text every new subscriber personally within 24 hours
12. Survey customers before building any new product and know it won't fail before you make it
13. Don't launch product 2 until product 1 is undeniable : we waited 30 months
14. Hire a CFO before you think you need one ; they are a growth hire not back office
15. Sell from strength not desperation. We had $19M net income before exploring exit
$0 raised from venture capital.
$103M annual revenue.
$260M acquisition.

cluely hit $7m/year posting AI-generated corporate memes
seriously
no influencers
no production team
no fancy editing
just slideshows of exhausted office workers with captions like:
"when your manager schedules a meeting to discuss the meeting about the meeting"
so i documented the ENTIRE case study behind it after reverse engineering 10 of their accounts for 5+ hours...
here's what's inside:
β why silly content consistently outperforms professional content
(and why polished marketing activates skepticism almost instantly)
β the psychology behind the "advertising recognition reflex"
β the exact slideshow format responsible for millions of views
β the chatgpt images prompts used to generate the visuals
β the text overlay formulas that make people immediately send the post to a friend
("when...", "nobody talks about...", specific-number hooks, absurd reframes)
β the 4-frame slideshow structure with the highest swipe-through rates
β how to adapt the model to productivity, dating, fitness, finance, wellness, and almost any other niche
β the account setup that turns silly content into actual revenue
β the production workflow that takes 5-10 minutes per post
β the volume strategy behind 10-20 posts per day
β the CPM math showing how a format this simple can generate serious income
β the exact content framework that helped turn a slideshow account into a $7m/year business
all from my research into one of the simplest and most replicable content models i've seen this year

I went from living in a garage β an 8-fig business in 2 years with the marketing sauce I learned on X
But most of what you read about ecom/ads on here is bullshit. Flexing from guys whoβve never done it.
A few real killers taught me everything I needed to know.
Hereβs who to actually follow:
1. AI Advertising β @alexgoughcooper β killer DTC agency, building and sharing his own AI tools
2. Brand Building β @Seanfrank β ecom final boss. Growing Ridge before your favorite guru ever opened ads manager
3. TikTok Shop β @jtsarafa β scaled his own brand through TikTok Shop & helped plenty of others do the same
4. Creative Strategy β @DenneyDara β the mastermind behind your favorite $1M+ creatives
5. Organic Virality β @oliverbrocato β turned going viral into a repeatable formula that he used to scale & exit his own brand
6. Facebook Ads β @nicktheriot_ β FB ads Top G. X is just the tip of the spear for his banger YouTube content
7. DTC Strategy β @mrsharma β end-to-end funnels and growth. Pulling the strings behind 2026βs fastest-growing brands. BANGER podcast
8. Building Affiliate Armies β @brian_blum1 β built affiliate engines on both brand-side and agency-side. Great podcast, and an absolute chiller of a guy
9. Email Marketing β @maxwellcopy β the retention autist behind the emails of the worldβs biggest brands
10. Image Ads β @Simon__Rob β built a career turning statics β cash machines on FB Ads
So many more I couldnβt fit. Follow every one of these accounts if you are serious about leveling up.
Ecom is the #1 best business in the world in 2026.
And I'm not saying that because I built one to $260M.
I'm saying it because the math is undeniable:
1. No cap on revenue
β we went from $0 to $103M in annual revenue in under 5 years
2. No one physical location required
β we ran a global business from a laptop
3. No inventory risk if you structure it right
β subscription model means predictable demand
4. No VC required
β we raised $0 and kept virtually all the equity
5. Customers pay you before you fulfill
β unlike almost every other business model
6. Retention compounds
β every subscriber you keep is revenue you don't have to re-earn
7. Data ownership
β you know exactly who your customer is, what they buy, and when they churn
8. Exit multiples are extraordinary
β we sold for $260M on $103M revenue
I've been in mobile technology. Fitness. Cannabis. Children's health.
Nothing compounds like a well-structured ecom brand with a subscription model and strong unit economics.
The ceiling doesn't exist.
The only question is whether you pick the right category, build the right product, and have the patience to let it compound.
Most people quit before the compounding becomes visible.

made my first $1,000,000 in 2.5 months
so far ecom has been one of the best things that happened to me in past 3 years
and the life made me learn 3 HUGE lessons, while the last one is the most painful.
but without mastering those, it would never be possible
1. giving over getting
this is so fucking simple but yet most of us are too focused on gaining something from this life (like wealth, respect etc.)
while forgetting the simple fundamental of why such things even happen...
it's all about genuine value that you give to the world
very simple β‘οΈ people are ready to give you something ONLY if they believe that you or whatever you have to offer is more valuable to them than the price that you ask for it.
and it comes down to things like money, time and relationships every single time
2. every lock has a key to it
at this point, i don't care about whatever downfall happens to me, i believe that 99% of bad scenarios always have the way to the victory as long as i put my mind to it.
and whenever i face some sort of threat, i always think about this image (spolier: there is almost always something you can do)
3. NEVER ever get comfortable
i built my first ever "serious" business in 2020 when i was 17, with around 9 employees working with me for over 2 years straight
and i thought i figured it out...
up until 2022 when it all crashed
and all because i was not "prepared" for the war, took a huge L to the chin and started thinking that war was the reason i failed
bullshit.
if i were to simply push harder and be smarter during these 2 years, idk if i would even start ecom now π
this is why now. every single day i have a fear of not pushing hard enough.
this feeling that im not producing enough output never leaves me and i don't event want to fix this mindset.
but let it be so.
anyways, ask me anything
We scaled our supplement brand to $3M/month with MRR
$35M+ run rate this year
30k+ subscribers
77.7% margins
I put our entire strategy into one doc + a 30 min video
I covered:
- the MRR model that pays you even when your ads are off
- outscaling your competitors
- the creative engine behind every winning ad
- how to actually scale past $1M/month
- the payment processors nobody's using yet
& more
