@Citizen_baker@ManCity I agree, I didn't care when Lance Armstrong was caught cheating, still can't believe they stripped him of all those tour de France titles. Heard he's a massive Man City fan though.
I don't think the British Government as a permanent member of the UN security council should have a veto on the movement of Irish troops, imagine if Protection of the nationalist community in some part of the North was required in an emergency as nearly happened in the 60s and 70s and we couldn't set up a safe zone because of a British Veto. I think Sinn Fein are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome over this matter.
@SMO_VZ It's hard to understand why Ukraine with one hand tied behind it's back has not been defeated by a superpower with allies like Iran, Venezuela, Syria and Cuba.
@CorkGourmetGuy Millionaires shouldn't be allowed to decide which taxes they pay, and they should at the very least feed their livestock, this is pretty basic stuff. While the cause might be righteous the leadership is questionable.
The size of this house was the same as 5 three bed semis (average house size is 1100 sq ft.) This was 6000 sq ft. Because it had no planning, they couldn't have possibly gotten any lending on it.
So they would have had to use their own cash.
Cost of construction on a house this size is over 1 million euros. I don't believe millionaires should choose which laws they obey.
40% of all new housing developments in urban areas are at present being purchased by Indians. They are getting financial assistance from the Irish Government through the first home scheme(not to be confused with the help to buy scheme) the first home scheme gives up to 120,000 euro towards this purchase. They only need temp visas to get mortgage approvals, if this loophole was closed, house prices would drop immediately as supply would be more than enough. Essentially you only need to be in Ireland for 6 months in order to qualify for this.
