Taking risks, doing the work, trying new things is painful.
Procrastination, doomscrolling, feeling guilty is painful too.
One pain is degenerative, the other is heroic.
One makes you feel good about yourself.
The other makes you lose yourself.
Choose your pain.
Easy to get financial opportunities once you are rich
Easy to get invited to private events once you are influential
Easy to connect with interesting people once you already succeeded
Life isn't fair: the more you have, the more you get
Don't complain, learn to play better
No time for envy when you are busy building a great life for yourself
No time for anger when your energy is spent on reaching your goals
No time for anxiety when you are busy challenging yourself every day
Envy, anger, anxiety, they disappear once you are focused on your life
If you had a friend who spoke to you in the same way that you sometimes speak to yourself,
How long would you allow this person to be your friend?
Be intentional how you speak to yourself.
Control that little voice in your head & intentionally make it your ALLY not ur enemy.
My favorite “dad rule” of all time:
“Leave things better than you found them.”
It applies to people, places, and things.
And if we all followed it, we’d all continuously make everyone and everything better.
Hard to think of a better purpose.
“He left us better.”
