Remember this fact, the poorest 20% pay a higher percentage of tax than the richest 20%.
In almost every country.
The system is rigged and it is time to take back control and unrig it.
I would much rather live in a society where everyone has healthcare, housing, and food than a society where one trillionaire now owns more wealth than half the country.
American capitalism has achieved trillionaires before it got Us healthcare or education or 21st century infrastructure or living wages or eradication of homelessness/poverty/hunger.
Food, energy and (soon) water are now dangerously unaffordable for us plebs.
So. Much. Winning.
Israel just kidnapped a 20yr old Palestinian student, taking her hostage. She won’t be called a hostage & she won’t be reported on in the US bc she’s Palestinian.
Had Palestinian forces took an Israeli civilian hostage — would be front page news in every mainstream media outlet.
The idea that Elon Musk worked harder than every person alive and who has ever lived is a very stupid and immature fairytale. Wake up. He’s robbing us.
BOOMER: “Nobody wants to work anymore.”
ME: “The warehouse down the road pays $18 an hour.”
BOOMER: “That’s good money.”
ME: “Average rent is $2,200.”
BOOMER: “Get roommates. Work overtime. Stop complaining.”
Funny how every “solution” demands workers lower their standards, kill their free time, and live like broke college students forever.
But nobody ever tells corporations to pay enough to survive.
Yes, a cashier at Walmart, a delivery driver at Amazon, or a waiter at KFC, should be able to afford rent, groceries, and bills with their paycheck alone. That is exactly what jobs are for.
Elizabeth Warren’s proposed 3% tax on people with over $100M in wealth would generate $30B in revenue each year on Elon Musk’s fortune alone. That’s about how much the US spends each year on affordable housing subsidies.
Tax. The. Rich.
