core.ignorestat was changed to TRUE last week trying to solve slow git commit/push on windows. Any help/suggestion on that would also be much appreciated.

1) git config core.ignorestat false
2) mv .git/index git-index
3) git reset

Helpful related commands:
List all files marked “assume-unchanged”
$ git ls-files -v | grep ^[a-z][[:space:]]
