Critics say that the Scriptures are outdated.
Yet day after day... it proves to be astonishingly up to date.
It is the most current and accurate source of truth in existence.
Go ahead, fact check it:
"and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." Acts 17:11
Is he asking:
Contemporary evidence for us (as in this generation, today)?
or
Contemporary for them (as in the time of the resurrection)?
In 1 Corinthians 15, there are first person witnesses in the list.
John in his gospel and his epistle refers to the resurrection.
Peter in his epistle refers to the resurrection.
Both are first person witnesses to the resurrection.
In the mouth of two or three witnesses...
Romans 4:3
For what saith the scripture?
Abraham believed God,
and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
Galatians 3:6
Even as Abraham believed God,
and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
James 2:23
And the scripture was fulfilled which saith,
Abraham believed God,
and it was imputed unto him for righteousness:
and he was called the Friend of God.
How does this hit you?
Day #1:
Hosanna to the Son of David:
Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord;
Hosanna in the highest.
Day #5:
They all say unto him,
Let him be crucified.
But they cried out the more, saying,
Let him be crucified.
I was talking with a pastor tonight and asked:
"Where does the Bible clearly state Rebeccaโs age when she married Isaac?"
He said, "Biblically, Rebecca was about 3 years old."
Then he broke it down:
Genesis 22 mentions Isaac being bound on the mountain.
Right after that, Rebecca appears in the genealogy.
Genesis 25:20 says Isaac was 40 when he married her.
So the logic goes:
If Isaac was around 37 at the Akedah,
and Rebecca appears right after,
and he marries her at 40โฆ
37 to 40 = 3 years old.
I stand to be corrected, but that actually sounds convincing.
This is a good example of Proverbs 17:28 is referring to.
(some wise council here)
Even a fool,
when he holdeth his peace,
is counted wise:
and he that shutteth his lips
is esteemed a man of understanding.

@churchtalkative The reaction in Acts 17:32-34 is a good summary of the reactions to the gospel preached.
And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead
--> some mocked
--> others said
we will hear thee again of this matter.
--> certain men clave unto him, and believed
Reminded of this...
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
@Anyachi4ox The thief cometh not,
but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
I am come that they might have life,
and that they might have it more abundantly.
John 10:10
There is more than enough evidence in Scripture as to who Jesus really is. In the video there are but a few examples (good ones) of the many.
Understanding the doctrine of Christ begins with the person of Christ (2 John, Hebrews).
One
chooses to believe
or
choose to not believe
Reminded Paul preaching in Acts 17.
For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Some "snapshot" gems from 2 Timothy 3.
How is "the power" manifested in life?
Having a form of godliness,
but denying the power thereof:
from such turn away.
2 Timothy 3:5
Watching Christians on X argue over denominations honestly makes me laugh a little.
โI follow this teacher.โ
โI follow that tradition.โ
โMy group has it right.โ
โYour group is wrong.โ
Nothing has changed since the first churches.
Paul dealt with the same thing:
โWhat I mean is that each one of you says, โI follow Paul,โ or โI follow Apollos,โ or โI follow Cephas,โ or โI follow Christ.โ Is Christ divided?โ
โ 1 Corinthians 1:12โ13
The names have changed, but the problem is the same.
If Paul were alive today, we all would be getting letters.

@ocfollowsjc@churchtalkative Not sure what you are trying to get at.
John 1
the word was God
the word was made flesh
1 Timothy 3
God manifest in the flesh
Revelation
The REVELATION of Jesus Christ
(first and last tying back to Isaiah)
Not his own power or holiness
but by the power or holiness of
--> in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth <--
And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people,
Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this?
or why look ye so earnestly on us,
--> as though by our own power or holiness
we had made this man to walk?
Acts 3:12
