@BirdieCantin@MailePRMedia I would have to prove what I accused you of is correct. In a US court you would have to prove not only that I'm wrong but that I knew it was wrong at the time. It means despite some UK outlets having a low rep in reality UK media is more careful in what they publish than US media
@BirdieCantin@MailePRMedia what they published is most likely true. In the US the person being defamed has to prove not only that what the outlet reported is false BUT that at the time of publishing, they knew it was false. So for example if I posted on her an accusation against you, in a UK court ...
@MailePRMedia@BirdieCantin had no real news worth to them. Does a Royal on holiday or going out for a cup of coffee or taking their kids to the park change anyone in Britain's lives? No, so they don't want that mud on them again if paps actions lead to another incident.
@MailePRMedia@BirdieCantin No, it is an informal self-governing code of conduct from the British Media. No-one forces them to abide by it, they choose to because the British Media especially found themselves getting a lot of blame for being complicate in Diana's death by buying pap shots of things that....
@MailePRMedia@BirdieCantin in the absolutely in public interest for it to be published which 'Women gets driven somewhere after surgery' really isn't. It's just like how Meghan at Coffee shops appeared a fair amount in foreign media but it wasn't of public importance so the UK media didn't publish them
@MailePRMedia@BirdieCantin The images weren't pulled. After Diana the British media agreed to stop buying Pap shots of the Royals as it was the biggest market for these and hence encouraged increasingly dangerous behaviour. The only way they might still buy them now is if it was really deemed to be...
@WallisonLFC@TheEuropeanLad having their chance hindered by a random amount or go down and maybe force the ref to make a decision. The sport would absolutely be better without all the small cynical acts
@WallisonLFC@TheEuropeanLad but thats a big problem with the sport at the moment, cynical acts of cheating go on all the time to gain a small advantage and it's just allowed. And it encourages diving as refs never blow for these fouls if the player stays up so players have to make a choice of...
@SuperNGames @nova_what @Johnny73715497 @SnoodyMcFlude@GleannIucha not some statement that really doesn't make anything anymore clear than the statement RB already put out
@SuperNGames @nova_what @Johnny73715497 @SnoodyMcFlude@GleannIucha their statement made it look even more like they just took Mason word which didn't satisfy either the 'he is guilty' or 'he is innocent' camp. There was no transparency to United's statement. And anyway you were calling for the report to be uncovered....
@SuperNGames @nova_what @Johnny73715497 @SnoodyMcFlude@GleannIucha people like you trying to discredit them or people like Toto using it to score points against them but again unless everyone agrees to it being released or event a summary being made (which could be anywhere from a dozen people to hundreds) they can't
@SuperNGames @nova_what @Johnny73715497 @SnoodyMcFlude@GleannIucha A summary would still have to reveal details, details which could identify a person and then get RB sued into oblivion. Mercedes and McLaren would do the exact same thing because legally they can't. They would almost certainly prefer to release it all to prevent....
@SuperNGames @nova_what @Johnny73715497 @SnoodyMcFlude@GleannIucha it would be a minefield to ensure nothing slipped through that could identify any person and Toto, yourself and others would still cry about transparency as the report was redacted
@SuperNGames @nova_what @Johnny73715497 @SnoodyMcFlude@GleannIucha It's not that simple though. They legally can't release the report without every person that was spoken to signing off on it which they won't do because people generally agree to speak to such investigations because it is private. Even if they redacted identifying info...
@stuc30@BBCNews FM players can easily play for 30 hours or more a week even when it's not their job. So it's not that simple as saying he does double the hours for double the pay
@NathanWhiteh78 @olenyobill @Rory_Talks_Ball@markgoldbridge gives the defender. That's the problem, in theory, offsides are one of the more accurate uses of VAR as its a definite decision not a subjective one BUT the tech used just isn't good enough
@NathanWhiteh78 @olenyobill @Rory_Talks_Ball@markgoldbridge It's not 'slightly' though. They would need to keep back almost 2 metres to be sure due to the cameras simply not being both high enough in frame rate and of high enough fidelity to get the exact frame the ball is kicked. 2 Metres is a pretty decent head start an attacker...
