The EU is going big this time. 🇪🇺🛑
According to Bloomberg sources, Brussels is prepping a massive sanctions package targeting over 1,600 companies linked to Russia's military-industrial complex. We are talking about businesses with a combined turnover of $20 billion.
The goal is to get the package approved by foreign ministers in October.
The only catch? It requires unanimous approval from all member states. Getting 27 nations to agree on 1,600 targets at once sounds like a bureaucratic extreme sport. 📄☕️
Stock up on coffee, Brussels. The autumn meeting marathons are about to begin.
@CAST_Pool@russianews_eng You switched from NS1’s shutdown to NS2’s certification and the sabotage planning. Germany blocking NS2 and the alleged planning timeline don’t change the fact that Gazprom halted the operating NS1 pipeline before the explosions.
@CAST_Pool@russianews_eng You’re mixing NS1, NS2 and the timeline. Germany blocked NS2 before it entered service. Gazprom halted NS1 and cancelled its restart on 2 September. The explosions happened on 26 September. Earlier sabotage planning doesn’t change who stopped NS1. Hope this helps.
