RN/FNP, former fraud investigator, first female winner of Grandmas marathon. My mission is to leave a stronger Minnesota for our children and grandchildren.
Today I attended a public safety roundtable in Eden Prairie with gubernatorial candidate Lisa Demuth, law enforcement officers, attorneys, local parents and community members.
I have tremendous respect for our law enforcement officers and the work they do to keep our communities safe. Congratulations to the Eden Prairie police on their swift arrest of a suspect in the homecoming football game shooting, announced this afternoon.
But police cannot do it alone. I heard serious concerns about the prosecution of violent crimes and downward departures from sentencing guidelines. I also heard from parents who believe this lack of accountability starts in the schools, with inadequate responses to student behavior issues.
Parents and families want more than another task force to "study" the problem. They want action, accountability, and meaningful consequences for crime. They want violent criminals removed from the streets.
Race or immigration status is not the issue. Criminal behavior is the issue, and it must have consequences.
Vote for change!

Five reasons Minnesota became “the state of fraud”
1) too many budkets, too many spigots, no shut off valve 2) confusing spending with effectiveness https://t.co/tEjp0AFSDJ
Fraud — Day 3 of 3:
Individual legislators should not be allowed to direct grants to favored constituents by name. Here’s a real example of why. Governor Walz has also proposed ending legislatively named grants. I agree with him.

I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).
I will work to make Minnesota a place where small businesses can thrive!

“Never forget” isn’t a slogan. It’s a promise to the lives we lost.
This isn’t a debate. It’s common sense, and Minnesota deserves leaders who still have it.
Students should learn about September 11, 2001, the lives taken that day, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the sacrifices that followed.
We have a responsibility to teach the next generation the truth about that day and honor the Americans who gave everything to protect others.
