Visual Interactions in Early Writing Systems (VIEWS) is a UKRI Frontier Research Grant, no. EP/X028240/1, based at Faculty of Classics, University of Cambridge.
The VIEWS project is based at Cambridge and run by PI Dr Pippa Steele (she/her). We are conducting new research on visual aspects of writing systems in the pre-modern world and examining relationships between writing and visual culture.
