@mrsjjee Don’t worry about where “everyone” else is going or what “everyone” else thinks is THE school. You are the one who will be attending so it has to be a good fit for you. Make a list of nonnegotiables and wishes and research. Find a vibe match.

@caitteach We start every science unit with an affix list that includes the meaning and an example word. I show them it’s like a math problem: each has a value that doesn’t change but changes what you add it to.
