सावित्रीचा संघर्ष अजूनही सुरूच आहे..!

जवळपास १८० वर्षांपूर्वी क्रांतीज्योती सावित्रीमाई फुले यांना ज्ञानदानाचा यज्ञ सुरू करण्यासाठी शेणगोळ्यांचा मारा सहन करावा लागला. "सावित्रीबाई जोतीराव फुले" मालिकेच्या माध्यमातून हा संघर्ष घराघरात पोहोचतोय.

दुर्दैवाने त्याकाळी सावित्रीबाईंनी केलेला संघर्ष आजही एका सावित्रीला सहन करावा लागतोय. शेणगोळ्यांची जागा अंड्यांनी घेतली, पण मारा करणारे हात आजही तेच आहेत, सावित्रीला रोखणारी प्रवृत्ती आजही तीच आहे.

पण.. सावित्री तेव्हाही थांबली नव्हती, आजही थांबणार नाही !

कोरोनाच्या काळात अख्खं जग बंद असताना, काही लोकांनी 'मंदिरे उघडा' अशा आशयाची पत्रं नेऊन देऊन राज्यपाल महोदयांच्या घराच्या उंबऱ्याची जाडी घासून निम्मी केली होती.

आता वरुणराजाने अशी चक्री फिरवली की, याच मंडळींना आज स्वतःहून मंदिरे, पर्यटनस्थळे आणि गावांमध्ये लोकांना 'नो एन्ट्री' घोषित करावी लागली आहे! बरं, या यु-टर्नवरून टीका झाली तर मुख्यमंत्री महोदयांना ती सहन होईना.

सत्ताधाऱ्यांना भाजपच्याच एका खासदाराने संसदेत दिलेला तो सल्ला आज आम्हाला आठवून द्यावासा वाटतोय... 'सुनने की क्षमता रखीये'! बाकी मानवतेचा दृष्टिकोन वगैरे विषय भाजपच्या नेत्यांना त्यांनी जरुर शिकवावा.. त्यांना गरज आहे.

This is not a street-corner troll account.
This is not a local WhatsApp group admin.
This is not some random party worker shouting in anger.

This is a constitutional office.

A CM can criticize opponents. A CM can attack policies. A CM can defend his party. But the language must still carry the dignity of the chair.

When people sitting in high office speak like this, the message is clear:

Politics has become cheaper than a roadside argument.

Power should bring responsibility.
Public office should bring restraint.
But some leaders think abusive language is leadership and crowd claps are validation.

India does not need more loudmouth politicians.

India needs leaders who can speak with facts, dignity and accountability.
